Re: New Website?

Did they not think to user test the site before launching it?! The pictures used for the main news stories are all covered by the menu bar at the top of the page, every player has a massive bar across their face.

Re: SIGNED: Nicky Shorey

We shouldn't sing "Shorey for England" this time, cos that's already been acheived, but a new song should also show our support for him doing something unheard of for a Reading player, any suggestions? Here's an idea... Nick Shorey, Nick Shorey, he always wins the ball, he's only five fee...

Re: Spot On!!

Good god, Jesus wept. Snowball to claim that everyone on this forum is a fool and lacking intelligence is actually rather insulting. I'm pretty sure that I speak for most on here when I say that we're able to view a collection of threads and take the rational view that they are, on the whole, mostly...

Re: The Red Dragons of Cardiff

I'd be livid if such drastic change happened at Reading. This isn't just a reworking of the club emblem, it's a complete overhaul of the two ofthe main emblems that fans associate with; an emblem (and motto), an colours. The bluebird on the new crest just looks like a token gesture, an afterthought...

Re: Bumper Book of Tactics

Liverpool fan at work was asking me about him yesterday. I gave what I think is a pretty honesy appraisal. He is an excellent coach and a very good manager who's only management failure was not down to his coaching or tactics so much as him being a massive bell end with a messiah complex who can't ...

Re: SPECULATION - Gylfi on sale for £6m

Maybe he just isn't that good? And that's the reason no other club has come in for him, To be honest most of swanseas team looked class last season, as a team they are great but indivdually are they? , a few ex Reading players have proved this theory. Yes sig is class, but he didnt quite set the wo...

Re: Thames Sports Investment

Incidentally, the club were looking at land for a new, purpose built, training site near Maidenhead this week - also points to confidence that the deal is going ahead... This definitely sounds true. They sent a request to land agents 4-6weeks specifying what they were looking for. Hmmm, that's very...

Re: Thames Sports Investment

If, as I was told, the hold up is due to TSI not showing where the money is coming from - surely they'd have proven this y bnow? I can't understand what is taking so long - unless TSI cannot prove where the money is coming from - in which case, however, how long would the PL or whoever give them to...

Re: Thames Sports Investment

The other director of Reading FC is a lawyer who specialises in corporate mergers and take overs I'm not concerned about the legitimacy of the take over. The only stumbling block is going to be if the other investors pull out if they have to be identified . Indeed, that's the big concern. Any dude ...

Re: The Premier League - I'm Looking Forward To...

Walking to an away fixture (Arsenal) :) Walking to an away fixture (Fulham). One of the few away games i'll be able to get a ticket for owing to their 'neutral' stand. What the hell is that all about?! The neutral stand is quality. Fulham away is quality. I agree it's basically just an extension of...

Re: Thames Sports Investment

Madjeski has said in the past that we have had offers from big talking "entrepreneurs" but that each time the question "Show us the money" is asked the opportunity fades away. It's the first thing the Board looks at. Our history with Madjeski is to occasionally doubt something h...

Come back Jon Fearn.

I've said it for the few seasons, it's Niall Clark we've missed. As much as Pardew and then Coppell assembled a naturally fit squad it was Clarks work that got us fit and injury free.

Good shout to be fair. Didn't he got to Norwich or West Ham?

West Ham I think.
