Re: 2013 Summer Transfer Window

Do'nt know if anyone has noticed but Geoffrey Kondogbia (a player who we were very seriously linked with last year) is being touted as a large-money transfer somewhere. Not to us, of course. It may show that our scouting system last year was good but the follow-up was way too pathetic. Apologies if...

Re: Centre Back speculation

Ian Royal ...
I want to see Hector and Cooper progress, with Marriapa and Morrison forging a strong long-term partnership. That means probably looking for a Championship journeyman who can do a job as cover for a season or two.

We already have one of those.

Re: The league table if hitting the woodwork counted as a go

Rev Algenon Stickleback H What makes this article even more crap is that everyone appears to have done better, i.e. if both teams hit the post in a game that was a 1-1 draw, it's worked out as if both teams won 2-1.

This is incorrect.

St. Brynjar Remember him scoring an absolute scorcher a while back. Also remember him having a shocker when we stuff Sheff Wednesday by something like 6-0. To avoid argument I am making no further comment.

Bullshit!

If that post hadn't been in the way it would've been a goal.

Re: The league table if hitting the woodwork counted as a go

soggy biscuit Hitting the woodwork is missing.

One small pet h8 of mine is when you hear a fan say something like 'yeah we lost 2-1 but we hit the post 3 times'. So on top of the times you missed, you also missed another 3 times.

Reading have been saved by the woodwork AGAIN!

Re: The league table if hitting the woodwork counted as a go

Green If hitting the woodwork counted, don't you think the dynamics of the game would change somewhat?

I think you'd see those stats increase somewhat so basically it's all bullshit and hearsay.

Well, not hearsay really.

Maguire I heard that Anton did not practically beg Brian McDermott to spend more of his money.

Well I've heard that he did, and I'm willing to name my source.

Old managers you remember as players

It has just about got to the point where I remember as a player pretty much any manager who had a significant playing career. I was put in mind of this by 63 year old Brian Kidd, who I recall as a mop-topped youth for Man U that my primary school friends used to imitate. I also remember 68-year-old ...

Re: Adkins has just said he wants to win the league

It does feel like there's more expectation than ever before to get promoted (much as I try to put it to the back of my mind). I see no reason why we won't amass around the 70 point mark this time around which might be enough for top 6, definitely top 8-10. Hah! Were you even a Reading fan the last ...

Maguire BBC says City had 27 attempts on goal, 20 on target. That's a total bumming.
