They seemed to defend pretty deep for much of the game, so there was rarely room to get the ball in down the channels/behind their full backs. It didn't helped that Harper added very little until shortly before he was taken off. On the plus side, was generally pleased with Sodje. Surely they didn't...

Today showed again how much we missed Kitson. Well organised Prem sides can inhibit our natural slick passing game by shutting off all our options through midfield. When we've got Kitson we can vary the game more by hitting it long to him and having Doyle, Convey & Seol pick up the second ball....

Why isn't Convey involved either!? Today it was Shorey and Soel playing it short to one another before tunring towards their own goal and losing possession. Convey whipped in some lovely balls last season but hasn't really figured since the Feyenoord game in which he set up the first goal from a cor...

In my opinion Faye's challenge was probably worse in a better goalscoring position for the forward.

I wasnt there today, but listened on Reading World.. Sidwell is one of our best players if not the best.. He puts in 110% every game, never gives up! Him, Shorey and Murts have stood out to me last couple of games.. Murty was sloppy today but it would be unfair to single him out because we weren't ...

I've just got back myself and have one thing to say; Give Sidwell the earth. He has been our best player for the majority of our Premiership start and will definitely move on to bigger and better things if we don't tie him down soon. He hardly put a foot wrong today - battled tirelessly to win back ...

I've been saying for a long time now that Sonko will get found out at this level, and despite the majority feeling otherwise, it seems to be the case so far. We need to bring in someone else, and Sam Sodje definitely isn't the answer to stabilising things at the back. I understand that Coppell et al...

If we can get one early we'll go on to get more, but the longer we go without scoring, the harder it will get. Villa play with men behind the ball and don't offer a great deal going forward, so if we can snatch one in the opening 20 minutes they'll have to come out which will suit our game. 2-1 to t...

If you use your girlfriend's login you'll have no problems getting into the ground as long as you assign the ticket to your member card when buying. As for your Father who is a non-member - usually a paper ticket will be sent out or maybe you'd have to collect it from the Ticket Office. It should sa...

I agree. Feel sorry for the bloke if he can't even get directions from our lot without having abuse given to him for being on crutches. As for his report, it tells it like it is. Middlesbrough's defence is poor and that was confirmed with the manner of the first and third goals. We were more inventi...

How strange it is that people have a huge pop at Sidwell for speaking out about our training methods, and then agree with Kitson for saying that Lampard should have spoken out against England's training methods. I did not give an opinion on Sidwell's comments about our pre-season tour, so once agai...

I don't usually come out and say this so blatantly, but what a ridiculous comment! Have you actually bothered to read the article?! Kitson is not criticsising Lampard as a player, rather the fact that he's released a book a few months after England's failings at the World Cup in which he blames eve...

Not forgetting of course that he didn't write a word of it - a ghost writer would have a) written Lampard's thoughts out accurately or b) made it all up any way. 1960, is that meant to be in Lampard's defence?! Without doubt Lampard would've known what was being published and every paragraph in tha...

a) at the moment is not nearly the player Lampard is. If Malcolm Shotton criticized Coppell's management, we'd feel similarly. Kitson might feel that Tony Blair's economic policies are wrong, but I wouldn't applaud him for "speaking his mind" if he spoke out, even if he said what many oth...

I've re-uploaded the wallpaper elsewhere and have amended the original post so that the link now points to the new file. I've also uploaded the wall to Stretton's site but don't know what's happened to it?! It says it's been uploaded but doesn't show up anywhere. Maybe I have to wait for him to cate...

New Royals Wallpaper

I've quickly knocked up a desktop wallpaper with a list of this season's fixtures on. It probably won't be up here for long for obvious reasons, but whilst it is, feel free to use it if you please. I have left a pane of space on the left for desktop icons, and have left the dates fn each game off be...

Re: Kitson to struggle...

...Whilst his goal tally was impressive last year, I think he was playing at the top of his level in a very succesful side where chances were at a premium... And what about the season before where he bagged 19 goals in a far poorer team playing some awful route one football? I think Kitson will do ...
