Re: CONFIMRED - Adrian Popa

Would think at this stage of preseason he’d be in Reading concentrating 100% on getting fit. Yep, just like the other players are. Not sure Popa has built up much ‘credit in the bank’ at this club yet. As in, he hasn’t earned the right to have much leeway on stuff. And PC, if nothing else, strikes ...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

The old kit is still 36 quid. Thought the club would have sold them all. Some real plonkers behind the scenes I am convinced we're keeping the same kit this season. You don't launch new signings in the old kit and there are 16 days before the start of the season. And as you've mentioned, the old ki...

Re: Season 2018/2019

A decent 2-2 draw with Besiktas tonight. Two late goals from Smith and McNulty forced the draw. OK it’s a friendly but the one key area where I think the team will improve under Clement is fitness. This pre season has more intense and started earlier than last season. That should hold the team in g...

Re: Sam Baldock

Sorry to be all doom and gloom but thoroughly underwhelmed at this (and if this concludes it) our entire summer’s transfers both in and out. Who realistically were you expecting to come in? Meyler and Yiadom - 2 experienced quality payers to fill in big issues we had at FB and CM last year McNulty ...

Re: Slough away or fulham at that place in hampshire

I do like the look of Pelle Clement. Played left mid when he came on, couple of great turns and a good driving run which he couldn’t finish. Definite potent there. Good to see him improving. For a long time I just couldn't see what he offered. He didn't seem creative, nor able to defend. He didn't ...

Re: Summer Transfers

Tbh I think i am just trying to find a position for someone that realistically is just sh1t. It would be best for all parties if he moved on but I don't think anyone would want him. Thing is, he's obviously not shit, he's quite obviously got skill. It's his application of that skill which is atroci...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Eastleigh (a) sponsored by football is back

When attacking we very rarely look like we are going to do anything unless it is through Barrow running down the left wing at speed. We desperately need more from our centre forwards in terms of involvement in either finishing the chance or being part of the build up. I might be unrealistic but in ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Eastleigh (a) sponsored by football is back

I went... Shots on goal still an issue, Eastleigh were well drilled by manager Andy Hessentalar, and definitely did the work to win second balls etc. Second goal from them was really due to poor defending on our part I think they had about 4 players free to have a shot, mannone will be a bit disappo...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Cardiff City (a) sponsored by others slipping up, hopefully

Anybody remember when Red Star Belgrade played Barcelona in the European Cup Final, They played ten men behind the ball and won on penalties. That's what we should do , ten men almost on the line and go for a glorious 0-0 Alamo result, I actually think it will finish 1-1 I genuinely think we should...

Re: What is our best team now?

4-2-1-3 Mannone Gunter Moore Ilori Richards Edwards Kelly Swift Aluko/McCleary** Martin Barrow **McCleary is only in due to his ability to put a decent cross in, he has been pretty dire, but Aluko is in the same boat - both great players there somewhere. Evans also just misses out, very tidy player...

can someone answer me this: Please excuse my ignorance on this topic but FFP So obviously this season we have struggled to perhaps get players in because of FFP. Re: RUMOUR - Roy Beerens to Vitesse

Good Skill and on his day can be quite good, but he is far too lightweight gets knocked off the ball very easily and couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag. good luck but glad if he is on his way. I would like to see a fit Callum Harriot replace him.

really needs Bacuna in the middle there alongside Edwards (or swift when fit) /Kelly

and Evans/VDB in front of the back four would do a job if you ask me

Re: Team for Brentford

So Dadi should start, whether he will or not remains to be seen but if he doesn't then Stam needs his head examined. Also Popa who scored 2 goals and worked very hard for the under 23 game the other should also get a start. I mean what do these players have to do! fingers crossed for a good perform...
