Re: RFC Unsung Heroes X1

I wouldn't have said De La Cruz or Armstrong were unsung. Armstrong (deservedly) won POTS in his only full season with us. De La Cruz was appreciated, particularly after that goal. I'm not sure if Glen Little is a joke nomination, he's one of our most praised ex-players. I'd suggest Zurab- far super...

Re: Is Sean Morrison the only player....

Not really on track, but I was disappointed that we narrowly missed out on having Lambert & Butler playing for RFC at the same time. Could have resulted in some great headlines. Can anyone come up with any great double acts on a similar theme that did play together? Did Shane play with Simon? L...

Re: Negotiations ongoing - Tom Rogic

Let's be honest, Celtic is easily a better move for him. He'll be able to play Champions League football and will break into the first team sooner. We could offer more money and a higher standard of opposition (we could be relegated twice and still be playing SPL quality teams), but on balance Celti...

Re: RUMOUR: Danny Welbeck on Loan

United have been linked with a move for Lewandowski. I think if United signed him, they'd have four strikers ahead of Welbeck. In a 4-3-3, that would leave him a long way from playing, in the 4-4-2 diamond they sometimes use he'd be a lot closer but still a long way off. I can't see it, but I might ...

Re: SIGNED - Hope Akpan

 at most of this board. Most of you have never even seen the guy play, even if more than 90 mins, and you are writing him off. Those who have, I.e. the Crawley fans, mostly believe he will be a solid prem player, if not already. And  that we are showing no ambition and slating the managem...

I'm slightly perplexed by this as we have a number of midfielders who are proven at a higher level.

Hopefully he is more of a Long than a Baseya...

A terrible blog linked us to Camp and Blackburn's Paul Robinson. I imagine SSN have "picked it up" from there.

I must admit that I am not a Simon Churc h fan, and i've never seen anything to alter that opinion TBH... Re: SPECULATION - Graham Dorrans

Dorrans, really? Good enough? Significantly better than what we have already? Currently, in Dorrans' position, we have Jake Taylor, Lawson D'Ath, Craig Tanner and Aaron Kuhl. As much as a rate those players, none of them are remotely as good as Dorrans yet. The year Sigurdsson scored 20 goals for u...

Re: RUMOUR - Stoppila Sunzu

Nah, all u-21s count- for example, I don't think Man City have to register Natasic.

You need to have been involved in English football for 3 years before you are 21 (or something along those lines) to count towards the "home grown" quota for the 25.

Re: Leigertwood - Out of his depth

Agreed, there's also some of the blame to be attributed to whoever made the decision to go into the season with just 4 central midfielders in the squad, only one of which had a degree of Premier League experience. Leigertwood had player 39 PL matches at the start of the season, more than Sidwell, H...

Re: January Window

Isn't Arshavin reportedly on £100k a week? The loan could cost as much as £2.5m, just in wages. Big risk, considering he hasn't played well for Arsenal consistently for some time. Having said that, he's probably the best we could realistically get, so we may as well go for it. If we could bring in ...

Re: Is Pog starting to produce the goods for us?

HRKs got the best touch in the squad I think this is obviously false. That title goes to Roberts; HRK is nowhere near. Whenever HRK has played centrally before, he has not looked nearly as effective as when he has been coming inside from the flanks. The middle is more congested and you cannot rely ...
