Never mind Stoke, what about Burnley. Thought they were good against Arsenal, but on reflection only Gray would probably be any good for us, and he's not as good as Kitson, so I'm wrong. Remember Wade Elliott? Thought he looked o.k. yesterday and he is a right-winger and he grew up in the South and...

If Duberry is unfit for a while and IF Ehiogu is fit what a game it would be for him returning to Villa Park.
Talking of experienced players in Scotland could Steven Pressley be a short-term option now that Celtic have signed Frinkel?

A similar player from the Championship is Marvin Elliot. Bristol City signed him from Milwall for a nominal fee and he has shown he can cut it in the Championship. I feel Coppell/Hammoned etc let one slip through the net with him. He has now been linked with Pomepy. Pretty sure we were linked with ...

It's a rare occurrence but I agree with VM. One of the reasons for involving young players in the first-team, and which Coppell failed to do again yesterday, is so that they can gain some experience should injuries and absences make them a consideration. Look at Hobbs at Liverpool, who has filled i...

Re: Is the 'reserve' team better than the first team?

After another excellent performance by the reserve team in a cup competition, i have found myself asking whether the cup team is better than the team which plays in the league obviouslt there are exceptions, such as kits, shorey and hunty, but otherwise i think the reserve players are better Good t...

Bit early to speculate until Duberry's fitness is known. If we do sign a centre-back he has to be ready to come in straight away and as we don't have much success with foreign players being immediately ready it has to be somebody already playing in English football. I'm not a great believer in playe...

Royal Blue, Did you go on so much whe the lino effectively gave all 3 points to us v Sunderland in giving a doubtful decision went our way? What goes round comes round and if we had scraped a draw v Pompey (ref helping us out) but only had a draw v Sunderland (lino not helping us out) we would now ...

Thought I had better get in first. A goal from 50 yards and one from 2 yards-is there no end to the boy's talent? Presumably Sunderland would have to offer at least £10 million now to have any chance of getting Huntaldo. So you weren't at the game then? Neither was I, but I've seen quotes f...

Coppell was quoted in yesterdays EP saying we will not be buying a left sided player. Interpret that as you wish. Trouble is that Coppell's quotes do vary like the wind. A few weeks ago he was saying that we would definitely buy in the transfer window and last week it was toned down to "might&...

nickbob_sexypants Ok Just seen on the skysports site that Isakson from Man City can leave,

Surely this is an opportunity for anyone who does not like our Goalkeeping situation to jump on and suggest we should sign him!

Not a bad keeper from what I have seen of him!

He's also just about the tallest.

1. That is way over his valuation, if he is worth 5 million then to quote Ian Hislop "i'm a banana" 2. Our record signing is 2.5m and we wont spend 5m on a 29 year old who has no track record at this level. 1. It's January and this is the Premier League. 2. Halford? Can we add Fae who had...

With players like Earnshaw and Ellington(both showing so little form previously) being sold last summer for something like £3million each then King is probably worth about £5million.
If Lita goes for similar money King would be a decent replacement.

If I was his agent, I'd be touting him for sale. Anyway, the percentage he pays wouldn't keep me in the style to which I have become accustomed. I think nowadays the agent gets a rake off when an extended contract or increased salary is agreed so it could just be in the agent's interest for Hunty t...

I was a great fan of Andy Hughes. Whatever anyone might think of his abilities, he never gave anything less than his best. He was 100% all the time. Unfortunately, he was never going to make it at this level, but we must remember he was an integral part of the team that gave us three very good year...

I didn't think that 'stupider' was a word. Well I never!! I think you're wrong that Victor is stupid, it's just that by refusing to accept other peoples' opinions, and being unable to see things from others' point of view is a sure sign that he hasn't had a Higher Education. And, for what it's wort...

Finishing 8th last season wasn't good enough for you? Jesus, I feel sorry for anyone who you might be seeing as you're probably too demanding. The team was exactly the same as the one which won the Championship convincingly the previous year - nothing was added. Again nothing much was added for thi...

- check out Jimmy's location, he is at Warwick University. Hardly doing GCSEs then is he? Being at that Uni the likelihood is that he has a string of A Grades at A level. At Wawrick?! Times have changed. Edukayshun aint what it was,the boy is hardly literate. Hardly literate? Sounds like another un...
