Re: 2011/12 SEASON BETTING THREAD

Had a double of a draw between us and Doncaster and a Ross County win. Ross County were 2-0 up against Greenock Morton with 85 minutes on the clock. I thought they'd won but when I checked my Bet365 account I had no funds. Checked the Ross County score again and they conceded in the 87th and 90th mi...

Re: 2011/12 SEASON BETTING THREAD

leicsRoyal Swindon and Charlton double tonight looks tasty at 2/1.

Chesterfield v Charlton
Swindon v Burton.

I did this but with Dumbarton thrown in for good measure. Slightly makes up for Brum costing me a wedge at the weekend.

Re: Brian Howard?

Is it wrong to admit I've never liked Brian Howard, even before signing him, and I'm therefore quietly satisfied that he's proven he's no good?

southbank1871 Merson really shouldn't be paid money to comment on football though when he can barely speak

I think he's good value. It was pretty funny when his teeth fell out that time.

Re: Great players who have never won the league

It's all a matter of personal opinion, but personally the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie are clearly good enough to be in your XI. And that's before I get tedious enough to add in the likes of Ruud Gullit.

Re: last player to score a hat trick

Reading's best penalty taker? Trevor Morley. Must have taken a dozen or more for us, missed the target precisely never from the spot, the only one which was saved.....he headed the rebound home anyway 8) . Apart from Long, he was probably the best at winning penalties for us too! It's got to be Gyl...

Re: Van Persie

Certainly can't list them - but it's natural that when a team-mate is close to a record players will try to set up chances for him - when there's frequently a better option for themselves of someone else. Wasn't Ian Wright waiting on his record for ages and ages, during which the team didn't do ver...

Re: Allardyce's post match comments...

To be fair I thought it was Allardyce that effectively cost them the game and put them on the back foot meaning O'Brien got booked for the second time by taking Papa Boupa Diop off. I genuinely thought that he was the best player on the pitch in the first half, and Leigertwood didn't start to contro...

Re: West Ham united Tickets, 10th dec.

Only possibility of me going is if i can get on the gate tbh. You won't be able to buy tickets on the gate as the match will most likely be sold out by then. I assume you don't have a membership card. Phone up the ticket office and pay for a ticket over the phone. You should then be able to collect...

Re: Weekend Football 3rd/4th Dec

Mata, Sturridge and Krul are all having fabulous games Watched the game and agree with this. Sturridge was a little wasteful in front of goal (although his finish for Chelsea's third was very good) but his movement and running with the ball was excellent, and I really rate Mata as a player. He's st...

Re: Euro's vs World Cup's

I can't even remember the last Euros tbh. Holland's football during the group stages was unbelievable to watch. The goal they scored on the break against the Italians was a particular highlight. Nike also released some exclusive boots for the tournament. I have a pair of the below in moulded form, ...

See Law 16 for goal kicks http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/RulesandRegulations/LawsoftheGame Procedure The ball is kicked from any point within the goal area by a player of the defending team Opponents remain outside the penalty area until the ball is in play The kicker must not play the ball again until...

Re: Your favourite football shirt of all time....

I used to asolutely love this shirt when I was younger, for some reason. It was pretty sought after in my school days, even for us 'non-United' fans. Schmeichel was the real deal though: http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Football/Pix/pictures/2010/4/26/1272321334810/Peter-Schmeichel-006.jpg
