urz13 Having a terrible season. Abuse is harsh though, and a bit embarrassing really.

Re: Team for Wembley

Gunts is also pretty good 1 on 1. If you mean going forward, I doubt we'll see too much of that on Saturday. If you mean defensively, ROFL.....how many goals this season have been at least in part down to him failing to block crosses, failing to make tackles, failing to block shots, failing to win ...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

A bit surprised at how contented people were with a 0-0 where in the whole game we had 2 shots on target with Kanu's being more like a back pass. I refer you to the "How far we have slipped" thread. Expectations are so low that yes, yesterday felt like an OK performance. I hope that in 12...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn

Best thing was we were neat and tidy with zero hoofing. +1 for the hoofing comment, totally agree. Midfield showed for the ball, so the defence could play simple passes and build comfortably from the back. Some decent football today, with almost everyone contributing something. Pearce had his best ...

Re: Blackpool match fred sponsored by a mouldy tangerine

Feds - 7 Gunter - 6 Knight - 4 Pearce - 7 Obita - 5 McCleary - 6 (Mackie - 8 - instant impact) Norwood - 5 Aké - 6 Robson-Kanu - 6 Yakubu - 6 (Cox - 6) Appiah - 6 (Pog - 8 - worked hard and a fantastic run for his goal, starting to warm to him) I wasn't at the game, so was guided by Dellor/Gooding ...

Re: Blackpool match fred sponsored by a mouldy tangerine

The defence sounds like it's having a total nightmare.

Dellor: How did Jacobs beat Gunther so easily?
Everyone: ffs Tim, have you been watching Gunther recently?

Re: Ake confirmed on loan

Really solid first performance from Ake, vs. Cardiff. Didn't try anything spectacular, but barely put a foot wrong in the whole game. Gave us real solidity in midfield and should have provided a platform for other players to perform, but that didn't quite happen....

Re: What is the point in HRK

Another typically ineffective HRK performance today. Not one of his worst, but little of note, too many misplaced passes and rightfully substituted, albeit taken off later than he should have been. Keep doing the exercises. Your eyesight will improve (and, hopefully, your judgement too). Are low ex...

Re: Oliver Norwood

Is he the new Leigertwood? Composed, authoritative and controlling for half a dozen games or so, then both of them totally failed to perform. Really, really disappointed in Norwood, I thought we'd unearthed a gem there...... Wow, and people wonder why I dig out stats. Leigertwood transformed the te...

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

It does seem a long time ago when Norwood first joined and was just pinging amazing balls around the pitch like it was no big deal. Now he doesn't even beat the first man on a set piece. +1 Totally agree....after 5 games I wondered which numbskulls let this guy go from their club. Now I'm beginning...

Re: Ian Royal or Snowball?

If Ian Royal and Snowball want one of their mutual reach-around sessions, I vote they do it in a separate thread and not jizz all over the discussion that the rest of us are trying to have. The "What's the point in HRK?" thread was total trashed by their two-way rimming party. And I still ...

Re: What is the point in HRK

Given you were arguing he'd score 10 goals a season as a PL player, including cup and international not that long ago, and that you were saying that 20 Championship goals translates into 10 PL ones and vice versa I say you're full of shit. Pathetic. Yup. I went back found a LATER post where what I ...

Re: Credit to the ref

I listened to the Radio Berks commentary at the match (usually worth it for the laughs, but not recommended when the atmosphere is as good as Monday's game). Mick Gooding's main commentary throughout the game was banging on about how rubbish the referee was, and how he got EVERYTHING wrong. Ruined t...

Re: What is the point in HRK

Absolutely nothing I've posted is trying to "excuse" any apparent failings in HRK. Well quite - it's YOUR failings that you're trying to handwave away. You're talking bollocks again (why am I not surprised?) I haven't tried to explain ANYTHING away. This is just Shane Long all over again,...

Re: What is the point in HRK

Scored the winning goal at Cardiff, FA Cup Scored a cracking goal at Derby, FA Cup Beautiful pass for the assist, Yakuza's clinching goal, Derby, FA Cup (also scored in the 2-1 League win over Norwich) And there we have it. Nearly 32 hours of pitch time neatly summed up in 4 sentences, with almost ...
