traff Lastly I believe this is the first time Reading will be playing with the dreaded VAR in operation so when Meite scores that last second equaliser be prepared for the Reading effect which will mean the goal is immediately ruled out for a player sneezing or some other never seen before minor controversy. At least you can be sure that all of ManU's goals will be legal and above board.

I think the last time we played them in the cup VAR gave them a pen, scored by Lukaku IIRC?

I'm putting a bet on that Holmes gives away the Penalty if he starts.....VAR is bound to pick up on him doing his usual rugby tackle on an attacker.

That's a pretty solid bet, he is a little 'hands on' in the box.

As if ManU need any help in winning penalties at Old Trafford

A Thomas Holmes card is at 4/1 with Paddy Power.

Probably a good idea to just stay there for the game.

Full strength line-up only youngster is Azeez on the bench.

Is this a strong team

United are playing the second* back four but the rest is pretty strong

That's a way stronger United line up than I was expecting, I guess if the Forest cup tie had been closer that would have played in our favour

Fair play to Ince. Clearly not gonna be a coward like Stam was. That is a strong team for us
Wish we had some pace though down the middle....Slabhead and Lindilof are not the quickest.

Only worry really is whether anyone gets injured. If there are injuries let’s hope theyre to Rahman and Loum.

Rahman's rather a weak link in there.

And not a lot of pace in the back three, McIntyre could get exposed chasing out to cover in behind Rahman.

Don't think Joao is going to get much service or change out of Utd, I'd prefer the workrate and pace of Meite / Long given how the game is likely to play out.

But not much room to improve the XI. Small margins.

I'd probably have gone:

.....................Lumley
......Yiadom, Holmes, McIntyre
Hoilett,. Hendrick, Loum, ......NGW
........................Ince
..............Carroll.....Long

Nice ploy by ten Haag, play Maguire against us, he'll look like Beckenbauer and they might be able to sell him on.
