I would never joke about the FA's Facebook page, that is serious business.

Here's a new way of depressing live attendances. Anyone know what the financial arrangements are for this transmission? Any fee to the competing clubs? Competing clubs have any say?

There will be plenty of fans who for good reasons can't make it to the game and this is a bonus for them.

And the announcement this time has come late enough not to affect ticket sales much - other than walk-up on the night. But it sets a precedent and an expectation this will happen again in similar circumstances.

And it's happened even when RFC / SUFC are bending over backwards on ticket prices.

How do we actually watch it? Just search in our Facebook toolbar? Can we Chromecast it? As an exile I benefit from tonight's decision, but overall I agree with the sentiment that this will detract from people attending the game. I'd have loved to see 20k+ for a Saturday FA cup tie, but sadly it will not be so.

Isn't this just replacing the betting company feeds that already existed?

Given it was only confirmed that the games would be on Facebook yesterday, I would be a bit surprised if there are many people who would have gone who now don't.

Yeah a tenner is nothing. If you can go and want to, you probably will.

Would much rather watch it live at the Madejski and risk contracting coro.... oh hang on....

I think that will essentially be it.

If you have a smart TV you should be able to find it on a Facebook app or through the browser on the TV.

Or you could look it up on a laptop and then hook that up to the TV using a HDMI cable or similar.

Reading the article yesterday it suggested it would be on the Facebook Watch page? If that isn't the case then a bit confused about where to find it.

Tbh, given my track record of watching streams, including the youth this season, we've probably got more chance of winning if I don't watch...

Edit - Just seen Forbury's thread confirming it is on Facebook Watch. Shouldn't that thread be merged with this one?

This is the thread I was looking for - details below

Broadcast live (and legally) on Facebook Watch in the UK - details below
https://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/foot ... d-17853971

You stream it on TV too if you download the Facebook Watch TV app, which is available on multiple platforms including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Android TV.[/quote]

I have an old crappy laptop which takes ages to fire up.Now linked it to the tv,via the cable. Then went on my Facebook page, and searched Reading F C page,if you are not already linked. The game link should be shown there. It currently says almost two hours before becoming active.

And some of us are firmly in this camp having paid a tenner for a ticket but can't make it and would happily pay again to watch on ifollow.

It's beyond mental that all these matches that are clearly being televised are not available in some form to genuine paying customers.

This will do nothing to help a competition already struggling for relevance amongst many fans and, frankly, fcuk Facebook.

Can’t find the game by following the links to it. The FA fb page doesn’t have a link to it and the link on here doesn’t find it either. Anyone know where it is. Only have iPhone on me.
