southbank1871 I thought of Osborn, but then decided he was too good to fit into this category.

I went through exactly the same process. If the definition is 'not a particularly good player' then Simon Osborn was way, way too good to fit into that category. He was extremely talented but also exceptionally tidy in his passing and general play. IIRC, one perfect illustration of that was in the playoff semi away to Tranmere.

Also I think Kevin Watson was too talented to fit the given definition.

Yes, but did he pass the ball in a tidy manner?

This is the question........

Going back a bit.

But for injuries Mark White could have played at a much higher level but was a very tidy player for us.

Kevin Watson, but for some reason Ivar springs to mind as well. Never looked rushed or flustered.

Robin Friday refused a club house and insisted on a flat because gardens were untidy. He always brought his Martini bottles to work in a tidy bag and only crapped in opposing team kitbags. I REST MY CASE.

Robin Friday drunk Martini!? What a truly disgusting drink to get pissed on, even in my alcoholic years I found something a bit more palatable than that. However, I suppose the Friday era we are talking about was the 1970s, and maybe the Joan Collins/Leonard Rossiter ad swung it for him.
