Royals and Racers Some people(1 person ? me only :D ) might be interested in how the PL 2 International cup(U 23 comp) is going this season- The Royals missed out this season in getting a place.
Just one qualifying round match to go tomorrow Wolves v Liverpool.
6 group winners plus best 2 2nd place go through to the `QF`s
Qualified are Arsenal,Wolfsburg ,Benfica ,Swansea and Derby- the last 3 teams will be known after tomorrow night.

The last group winner is Liverpool and the best 2 runners up are Monaco and West Ham.

Looks like Teddy Howe is off to Blackpool after impressing them in the FA Cup, on loan for the rest of the season.

Probably wise with Yiadom coming back in a couple of weeks.

Myles Roberts leaves for Watford. I guess we can't just hoard young 'keepers.

Yeah, this is good news. With half a season proper football under his belt , he can be No.2 RT to Yiadom next season.

No shortage of cheap accomodation for him to stay in too. Might even get a sink to piss in, although with what he earns as an academy graduate at Reading, he could buy Cleveleys.

Good news for House and Howe, both will benefit from game time.

Particularly for Howe. A decent spell there should set him up to cement a place in the squad next season.

Full time 1-1 the point is not enough to guarantee qualification(top 2 qualify) but they have got 2 matches left to achieve it.
1 Reading P 4 pts 8
2 Charlton P 4 pts 6
3 Colchester P 4 pts 5
4 Swansea P 4 pts 3

Yes, will definitely be keeping an eye on that one and hope he does a bit better than some other recent loans to Div1

I rate the lad, reckon he has a future here. Every time I’ve watched him he has looked decent

Rumour going around that Howe move is permanent.

very surprised by this. Thought he had a decent future. Maybe Bowen prefers Tennai Watson

Big cock-up on the RFC website report of the Colchester match- report dated 30 th Jan but posted 3rd Feb !!!!!
The current table as per myself is above yet Reading say the following in the match report.
"If either side had won the fixture, they would have gone top of the table; as it occurred, both remain outside the top two of the four-team group, with two games remaining at Charlton and Swansea in a tightly-contested competition.
1-1 the score at the final whistle – both teams on five points, with Charlton and Swansea each on six. All teams have two games left to go – it’s set to go to the wire."
Did they get some 15year old work experience schoolboy to write it !!!!!

It’s very much the sort of thing you would ask a work experience student to do.....

Although maybe a quick check before you actually publish it might be worthwhile !
