SCIAG If it's good enough for Michael Hector it's good enough for Andre Burley.

Hector had a few months in the LOI, with Dundalk when he was 18. Would have been longer but he injured his knee and was out for a while.
Both Burley and Odimayo played the full 90 in Waterford's opening game of the season tonight. So, straight into the thick of it, which is good.
Edit: Liddle got 20 minutes from the bench in Derry City's opening loss to Dundalk.

Man city academy twitter are reporting- photo, their team, and they are away !!!!

They are also one of the wealthiest clubs in the world who probably have a whole team dedicated to U-18 social media. You’re not comparing apples with apples. Yes Reading probably should do a better job but don’t use a Man City shaped stick to beat them with.

I think sending 2 players of the same position to the same club at the same time is often rare too? If they can both start they could develop well.

No excuse.
If the club had any sense they would be creative.
Perhaps there is someone who takes a major interest in the Academy sides, has decent knowledge, goes to lots of games....
Perhaps the club could approach them and ask them if they fancied being the SM person for the Academy games ?
I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to put a small team of volunteers together, especially if it meant getting access to some of the closed games at Bearwood.
If you run a business on a budget you have to find ways to get stuff done....

Fair enough but maybe the club have done some research and figured there just isn't the interest to suggest a more in depth coverage is needed esp. at under 18 level. They will have plenty of data on who is reading what on their site, social media interaction and the like. They maybe just not be the numbers.
Volunteers will work to a degree but you will still need someone to manage them plus a lot of youth games are the morning of first team games. The pool of people who would volunteer would be dedicated fans who are also very unlikely to choose missing a first team game to go and send a few tweets.
