Barnsley Match Thread - Sponsored by Injury Lawyers For You

by One8Seven1 » 01 Oct 2013 19:02

McCarthy, Gunter, Kelly, Morrison (c), Pearce, Guthrie, Baird, McCleary, Robson-Kanu, Le Fondre, Pogrebnyak.

Bench: Federici, Cummings, Gorkss, Akpan, McAnuff, Obita, Sharp

Looks like Bridge's injury is still a problem and is playing through it where possible. We really do need a LB on loan to cover him. Kelly and/or Cummings aren't ideal really.

Charles Watts @charles_watts
RT @iframpton: Isn't his Mrs due any day now? I'd imagine that could be it, not an injury?

Apparently Bridge's Mrs is due to give birth any time now, and that 'could' be the reason behind his absence.

Zingarevich, McCleary and Bridge all having children in recent weeks. Clearly retaining possession of the ball is not a problem.

Wikipedia says he joined on a permanent deal to the end of that season, though I have vague memories that it might have been a loan.

Conclusion : I don't have a clue. Decent player though.

I was sure we released him at the end of the season, and I was surprised. Could be wrong though!

Wasn't he signed as a free agent on a trial basis until the end of the season, with the opportunity to impress and earn a longer contract?

Totally unacceptable that people pay good money for this 'service' and then often can't log into it at the time they most want to use it.
