'Enjoying Every Game'

by Gobsheik » 17 Jan 2014 14:55

Atkins says he is 'enjoying every game'. Is there anyone else on this board who can say the same, 'cos I haven't enjoyed any game for a long time now! When was the last game anyone enjoyed?

I enjoy having freedom and being able to watch games whenever I want. So yes I enjoy every game I have the ability to go to.

I've enjoyed some of all 9 games I've been to so far... Even the 6-0 horror show at London Road had its moments. Although more for the crowd than what was happening on the pitch.

I don't see the problem either. Even if Adkins is having a difficult time and things aren't going to plan I don't see why he can't be enjoying his job. It's kinda why he's doing it isn't it?

Last game I enjoyed for 90 minutes was years ago....! Yes we've had our moments since SC left but to be honest the standard of football has generally been pretty awful, especially in the last 2 years or so. Just want to come to a game and know that we have something special esp. going forward. Under BM it tended to be a lot of perfunctory hard work and effort then wam bam thank you very much mam! Under Adkins it's zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and so dreadfully unentertaining.

Still I shall be there tomorrow looking forward to our on target shot as much as the next man/woman.

The last game I really enjoyed was the 0-0 draw with Liverpool in April last year. It was the game in which Alex McCarthy single-handedly prevented a 0-6 scoreline.

2-2 v Newcastle, 3-3 v Fulham, 4-2 v Fulham, 2-2 v Chelsea, and the last 9 minutes of 3-2 v West Brom were pretty goof. But for me nothing tops 3-1 v Southampton at the end of the season before

This.

Supposed to be a highlight of the week, feels more like punishment. I'm going for 64 mins for our solitary attempt on target, with just 3 great saves by McCarthy keeping it 0-0.

I think we were very lucky from 2005 onwards....a vast majority of the games we played were interesting and exciting (even some under BR) and we had two managers who the fans took to their hearts..... Yes both of their stints in charge ended with a whimper, but SC and BMcD both provided us with excellent entertainment....even if the football was dire at times! NA has yet to do this and his brand of football will take a while to bed in, which means this season is all a bit meh.

Gobsheik Atkins says he is 'enjoying every game'.

Any chance of a direct quote for context?

The first half against Watford was very enjoyable and I quite enjoyed the QPR game. Apart from that it's been pretty dull this season. Still, I will be there this afternoon eternally optimistic
