Bandini I would support the Oyster card boundary as a way to demarc8 the London/non-London clubs.

So Amersham, Chesham and Epping are in London as well then?

To be termed as a 'London club' a club would have to have its home ground in a London borough, not an adjoining county.

Zaretsky What's the most number of London-based teams Reading have played in a single season :?:

Would it be more than Palace, Fulham, West Ham coming down, Orient and Brentford coming up and Reading, QPR, Charlton, Millwall and Watford staying in the Championship?

What's the most number of London-based teams in any one division in any one season?

Answers on a postcard, addressed to Mr D Zaretsky esq. Cheers. Bye.

Just had a peek at some Watford Forums and they seem pretty vehemently opposed to being called a London club. I therefore change my position. Watford out.

They should stick Reading in the Oyster zone. Special dispensation.

Might need to consider cup games.

Think we also had 6 in 03-04 with Palace, (original) Wimbledon, Millwall, West Ham, Watford and Chelsea in the cup.

Harsh on the likes of Dartford if you're going to allow your Watfords and your Sun Postal Sports.

I'd actually encourage the same definitions used by the excellent London Football Guide, which appears to be the M25.

M25 includes Staines, which can't be right.

Until one of you does the analysis pre-1991, I really don't see that these boundary issues are going to have any impact on the price of fish.

Plenty of royals too - Royal Oak, Park Royal, Royal Albert, Royal Victoria

mr_number Ridiculous thread. What next? What's the most teams from Lancashire we've played in a season?

Should we count Bolton as Lancashire or Greater Manchester or both?

102 pages on AE, 37 pages on MU and an uncountable number of thread diversions says we historically haven't need an excuse like the fact it's January.

If Mortimer is in Reading then Reading being in London seems entirely feasible to me.

Agree

May be we should start a new thread about an imaginary new player. We have managed over 100 pages for an imaginary buyout.

Here's as good a place as any to point it - West Ham, Palace, Fulham, Wolves, Orient, Brentford into the Champ, Leicester, Burnley, Blackburn, Yeovil, Donny and Barnsley out would be lovely.
