Royal Lady Yeah - what's Podchara on about eh?!

Wow - his reply properly translated says something like: 'Yes, I've in the past days decided to invest all my money in The Sugar Lounge as another deal has fallen through'.

My Thai might be a bit rusty but it says something along those lines.

Extended-Phenotype What usually follows a long spell of club silence / inactivity is SJM coming forward and promising us something, which in turn is followed by the something not happening and some hero on a forum defensively writing an essay on the definition of the word 'promise'.

You're in danger of becoming RoyalBlue.

Just a thought, if this goes tits up and we are struggling around the bottom of the table after 10 games wouldn`t we became less of an attraction for would be buyers? christ this bloody saga is getting pretty tiresome now

Well I scoffed at 10539.4 miles away's post recently but it looks as if there was a certain amount of truth to it.

My worry is that if this drags on for too long the new owners will be buying a league 1 club.

Our first 11 is decent but 3 of them are already injured. Looking at the other squads in the Championship we look like relegation material.

My next door neighbour supports Brentford and he reckons they have a better squad than us.

My thoughts exactly, who would want to buy a team struggling in the relegation zone?, the longer this saga goes on the less attractive we could be for any new buyers

I wouldn't be that convinced. With our current team we'll certainly be paying more attention to the relegation battle then the promotion one. Add to that if we don't get investment by January we're likely to lose even more players.

Relegation talk is very premature before a ball is even kicked, but continuing as we are is only going to make things worse.

It's pretty clear to me that RFC signed the agreement and the Thai's have been given more time to raise the money. This imho is the real reason for the non announcement rather than the league delay etc.

West Stand Man Really? Is that seriously how you read what has been said or done so far? You are amazingly psychic then.

CW tweeted

half has been paid, but not by Samrit I'm told.
he was supposed to pay today, but didn't.
Vibrac have extended deadline to pay until Monday.
was supposed to fly in today but didn't, she did tho
it will (go through) if the money gets paid. It's as simple as that. It's all signed and sealed.

How did I do?

winchester_royal It will probably get done. The amount of money and time these guys have already invested means it is highly unlikely they'll let it collapse at last minute over an unpaid share. But it certainly raises questions over the ready availability of financing for the club.

It's all becoming increasingly dull.

Didn't ZIngarevich and co also invest a fair bit of money and time - only for the deal to collapse? The way things are going again, only a fool would ask Madejski which horse to back!

Although this window is only pulled slightly shut for a brief period then reopen for 3 months so it's a bit of a false countdown......
