Norwood cross field ball -> Murray knock down -> Cox finish

Think we'll see plenty of that during the season.

Adkins has finally got his new Rickie Lambert.

Its just like Christmas - all the big excitement and build up to the big day and its always a let down.

Think Murray will be a good loan signing - but seriously its taken all day to complete 1 x loan signing in, what pile of steaming dog poo!!!!

At least Mad man has got some a nice amount of money in the bank to run his fleet of flash motors

Royal Ginger Sorry MMM, I hadn't realised you were joking, and i'm pretty sure some others weren't.

I suspect the Doyle / Murray deal was done hours ago & the club delivered what us stupid fans wanted - an 11pm signing that never actually happened at 11pm.

Then they can say "We were working through the night to get it done blah blah blah"

Good PR I suppose

Sorry MMM, I like you, but I think you're well off the mark here. The PR dept have obviously done some of the background pieces in advance, as they always do, in preparation for completion of deal. That doesn't mean that it didn't take until the last few minutes to get all the paperwork done though.

It would be a shocking PR move anyway as the vast majority of their target market will be in bed by now. The ideal time to announce a signing would be around 9.30 when most are watching.

Libertine So we'll spend 4 months getting Murray fit just in time to send him back to Palace? Brilliant!

I just wonder if this loan deal is driven by the player rather than us? He probably doesn't want to leave Palace & is dipping his toe in the water before deciding perhaps?

Who knows. Welcome to Reading Glenn - please score lots of goals. Ta.

Still on premiership wages. So Palace will be paying a hefty whack.

Happy with our transfer dealings, in the light of our situation, and.on the back of our first ever window where we did nothing I think it's some decent business.
Nothing earth shattering, but good money in, and some gaps filled with decent experience.
I'm praying for a loan left back though.

Disappointed we only signed a 30 goals a season striker!

Ha!

Ok, he had an ACL injury but often these heal stronger, much better than cartilage damage. Obviously I don't know the complexity of his ACL but might be worth the risk as only a loan. Ruud Van Nistelrooy turned out okay for Man U after his

Welcome Glenn and good luck.

Because it was confirmed late on doesnt mean it took all day. Could have been agreed in 5 minutes. Could even have been agreed in principle before yesterday and Murray wanted to hold off putting his signature on the paper until late yestrrday after all his options had been considered.....
