Feds
Gunter Pearce Cooper Obita
Norwood Kuhl

Assuming obita is fit. Otherwise throw in one of the U11s.

I think he's a striker but since he's left footed we might as well give Berry a go

I think Ferdinand might get a start on Saturday if Hector is out. If Hector is fit, he could play in midfield again with Ferdinand coming in alongside Pearce. Therefore, I'm going with

Feds
Taylor----Pearce-----Ferdinand-----Gunter
---Akpan---Hector---Norwood
-------Mackie---Edwards-----
------------Cox-------------

Subs: Andersen, Cooper, Samuel, Pog, Stacey, Tanner, Kuhl (I'm assuming Pog will be fit enough for a bench role)

If Hector isn't fit then Kuhl will slot into midfield.

3points I think Ferdinand might get a start on Saturday if Hector is out. If Hector is fit, he could play in midfield again with Ferdinand coming in alongside Pearce. Therefore, I'm going with

If Hector isn't fit then Kuhl will slot into midfield.

If Hector is fit then I can't see Ferdinand playing. Regardless, if we use that line up it would make sense to play Hector at right back (he spent the best part of a season there) and Taylor in midfield. And play Kuhl.

Assuming with our terrible medical team at the moment that all players suspected being injured are out, I've gone for:

Feds
Gunter Pearce Cooper Long
Akpan Khul
Taylor Norwood Mackie
Cox

Bench Anderson + kids

If Akpan doesn't start, then I may be a little miffed with Nigel come 5pm.

He certainly does. Surely he should put an extra man in to midfield to provide some cover for the defence. Can't see the point of having both Taylor and Edwards in there. Poor selection again. Very lightweight in midfield.

But at least Obita is in defence this game. Anton Ferdinand must have been so far away from match fitness too, as he's still not even on the bench

Hope I'm wrong, but it seems really stupid not to play Akpan - He could have complemented Kuhl and Norwood, playing in front of then and providing some much needed energy and physicality box-to-box - i.e. what he was originally bought to do. Without him, we look too lightweight.

Akpan got his chance to show what he can do in midfield against Scunthorpe and we were completely outplayed by them by most accounts. Why on earth would you then think he can do a good job alongside Kuhl against Middlesbrough?

Kuhl has looked one of our best players and Norwood is Adkins answer to our midfield injuries. Of course they're both going to be ahead of Akpan.

Happy to see Obita back at LB....apart from that I fully expect this team to roll over & get it's tummy tickled. 1-0 down within 15 mins I reckon.

WTF is the issue with Akpan?! Protect the back 4 FFS.
