Typical away performance from us in recent times. Looked good at times in the first half while flattering to deceive really. Then as soon as we come under any sort of pressure we just crumple.

Something has got to be done about the defence. None of them are playing well.

Ian Royal There's still not been any significant calls for his head at games. He's going nowhere for now.

It's not often you and I agree but we are at one on this.

Don't see there being significant calls for his head on Tuesday either. Those wanting him out are still in a mouthy minority. If we don't start to turn things around as some of the injured players come back, and if a miracle happens and we get some loan signings, then things may start to get a bit more difficult for him.

Ady was reading the messages tonight. To me that's the first time on BBC Berkshire they've read so many fed up fans comments. To me I think the majority have had enough.

We're still not in any significant danger and anyone with a functioning brain was expecting a tricky season.

For Adkins to go he has to have clearly lost the fans or for us to be firmly looking at the trapdoor of doom, more likely both. Neither of those are an issue yet.

BBCRB texters are not representative of the fanbase.

You'll know when a significant minority have had enough. There'll be clear Adkins out chants at a home game. Until that happens, it's a small minority.

lol at RoyalBlue calling anyone "mouthy".

Recently he appears to have ditched his absurd crusade against Madejski, to focus 100% on white-knighting Adkins at every turn.

Absolute Clown.

TBF, if he wants to blame Madejski for everything, he has to support the manager.

The fans will start to turn on Tue if Rotherham win no doubt about that.

Depends on the nature of the game. If we lose by a couple of goals or more and are similarly clueless in defence, whilst failing to take chances upfront... then yes... possibly. But it'll only be a start.

Those who are still backing Adkins can you honestly see him turning this around?

Really??

What have you seen to suggest that will happen? Where is the improvement?

If Rotherham beat us then I'll call for his head, there and then.

A draw v Rotherham will turn Charlton into a must win.

I don't think he needs to turn much around. He needs to prevent us from getting in a relegation fight. It's not like he's doomed unless we're in the top 6.

Having a decent selection of midfielders available could make a significant difference.
Strengthening defence would make a big difference. Ferdinand, Kelly or Cummings might help with that.
January window could make a real difference.

winchester_royal Awful awful AWFUL second half performance.

Akpan was absolutely useless from 25 mins on. Norwood even more so from the 1st minute. Blackman only goes backwards. Gunter has turned into a a complete shitcunt.

Not good, not good at all.

When one of Adkins' biggest fans comes out with this you know it's bad.

We have the 4th worst GD in the division. You could argue we are already looking down rather than looking up. We could be what 19/20th if we lose on Tue?

BBCRB have just pointed out that Adkins has only won 2 games with Reading when going a goal behind.

2 cnuting games in 20 months? That is awful & has fcuk all to do with money, injuries, whatever other excuse people will spout. Like Dillon has just said your manager needs to lead & inspire you. He clearly doesn't.

I can't see how anyone is supposed to be inspired to fight back when the manager turns his back on the team and sits down in a strop when we concede.

I am a big Adkins fan, I like the bloke but if we lose any of our next 2 home games then I will start calling for his head. Blackpool are worse than us, yet they do not concede 3 goals most weeks. The buck has to stop with the manager for that.

Those calls for Adkins head at the games must be from such a large majority that they're so loud they've deafened me and that's the reason I can't hear them...eh Wooders.

This is why you are such a Hobhob tool :|

Just because you don't have a life beyond this forum doesn't mean all Adkins detractors are letting their mouths run away with them.

PS. Well done for "ignoring" my post above.
