by Sutekh » 15 Jan 2016 13:47

According to the Evening Post website Orlando Sa could be about to depart on loan to AEK Athens.

Good. Big wages, big ego. Just a shame we wont see much of the money we get for him, or in wages saved, spent on a decent ambitious replacement!

Only scored in 3 games this season, McDermott clearly doesn't rate him. Personally I would keep him if it's only a loan, but if we can get our money back and slightly more then I'd sell him.

Everyone keeps saying about his big ego... am I due a whoosh or have I missed something? Only evidence I can think of is his Fulham goal celebration.

FFS - a technically accomplished, strong and hard working forward with vast experience. And we apparently can't find a way to accommodate him. Because we're so full of top class striking options. Lamentable if true.

If this happens, it will confirm one of my fears about Brian - that of certain players who really ought to be in the team (Carrico, Pogrebnyak, Matejovsky, Guthrie) are left out, loaned out or released) in favour of dull but faithful workhorses.

Move him on. The league is too fast paced for him. With this link, it seems like either his agent or the club are actively trying to get him a move.

Imagine being Orlando Sa; do 6 months in a nice city, picking up a fat pay packet and signing on fee. The bloke must be laughing. I expect he'll bang in a reasonable amount in the Greek league too

half decent player who looked more than decent during the first third of the season.

if his wages free up some money for purchases that would fi better and rebalance the squad, id happily bow to brains superior knowledge on the subject
