I think it is actually against the rules for a player to play against his parent club while on loan.
The parent club has to give written permission for it to happen at the time of the transfer, so hopefully we were on the ball and got it written in...

That would make a bit more sense than choosing to stipulate against it.

One request... let's not come across as bitter provincials by bringing up the old West Ham exit grudge. Long since under the bridge for me at least. He's certainly not done a bitter and twisted Mark McGhee mouthing off against us routine that I'm aware of.

True, but the anti-Pardew agenda adds a bit of extra spice to games against his teams and can really get the crowd going.

Going to be tough, they all are at this stage, but at least we've avoided the proper big guns. One of the better chances we have to reach Wembley.

This. About 10 years ago someone played against their parent club and scored. Made some big headlines at the time. FA changed the rules after that.
