Disappointed HRK is off, our braindead fans will be happy though

Cox has been out of his depth for a while, he'll find a role in division 4 or Scotland maybe

Anton was top drawer when he was fit unfortunately that was looking less and less likely to happen of a Saturday

Good to see that we're starting business early

No Fixed Abode

No Fixed Abode Blackman leaving was 'great news' at the time. But now those same Reading fans use that as an excuse as to why the season went downhill.........

His form tailing off was before he left.

That old chestnut.

Loyal to his big pay cheque .... never rated him, although this season showed glimpses of quality ... but that was when everyone else was playing well. Can't see how he could make it in the Prem ....

Top Flight It's great the season has finished and now we can move on to hopefully better things. We just need a really small tight squad. A smaller squad of better players who will fight for each other, rather than a large squad of average players who don't care.

Totally agree, and I hope McDermott is the right man to manage that change whilst integrating and getting the most from the young talent we already have around the club.

Top Flight Who knows Hoop Blah and who cares.

Well, to be frank, fans of the club should have some care and concern over the managers planning and decision making and it may well influence on his suitability to manage the above changes.

It's also kind of why somewhere like this exists isn't it?

Yes, we must be braindead as we can't think of one single performance that would warrant him staying!

MrSwickle
Basingstoke Royal Great news.

Agreed

+ about 50,000,000

Kanu has been utterly crap for 3 seasons (a slight improvement this last season but spent most of it injured), Ferdinand was always injured and Cox never ever fitted in and really didn't add anything.

It's pretty cool actually, the characteristics are calculated from playing stats

Check out what is says for Vydra if you are still unsure as to how many barrrowloads of salt it needs to be taken with.

It says that Vydra averages a goal every 13 shots. Blackman every 9 for RFC this season for comparison (finishing as a strength). Hal every 16 and has finishing as a weakness. Looks OK to me?

Silver Fox

I will be delighted to see the backside of HRK, not entirely sure how that makes me brain dead.

For someone who is in the "over 200 appearances for Reading club", a fairly select band, I genuinely cannot think of anyone in that club less deserving to be in it than HRK, how he has survived 9 years is a mystery of life.

If HRK does not impress at the Euro's and does not get an offer from a Premiership club is there a risk that we would then sign a unhappy HRK back up?

If the club are planning to announce that these three will be leaving before the end of this week then I guess that means he is gone.

Maybe he'll be playing for Charlton next season?

You'd hope not. After the season we've had with players who apparently didn't really want to be here, and the first hand experience we had of the players like Hunt and Shorey you'd hope that the club takes the hint and doesn't chase him to come back if that were the case.

McDermott sometimes appears to have his favorites though, and he played him on Saturday when you'd have thought he'd have left him out in favour of someone who wants to play for us, so who knows.

There is nothing brain-dead about being happy to see one of our highest paid, most disappointing players turn his back on the club after half a dozen reasonable performances over the last 3 years. By any measure he's been a non-performing, luxury player whose occasional glimpses of quality were far too rare. Bye-bye Hal, do you need a lift anywhere?
