Snowflake Royal The mod who merged the Leeds spaz fest into this one really dropped the ball. It could have been self-contained there.

Well quite.

Old Man Andrews
muirinho Is there any chance we could have a Rival Watch thread that discusses rivals?

Edit: I think a few of us have posted more-or-less simultaneously there.

Every team in the Championship is a rival.

The original idea behind the thread was to discuss the teams directly around and competing with us for promotion (in 16/17) and against relegation - not every team in the Championship, but I guess the thread has evolved a bit.

Also, being midtable and not having any direct competitors, it's now just a general Championship chat thread I guess.

Unless we enter into rivalries with other midtable dross over the prestigious 13th place? We could have a cracking rivalry with Birmingham, Hull and QPR. Intense.

I'm all for a general Championship chat thread. Just not a borefest about a single team, that seems a bit like a Monty Python argument-room sketch

Well you can bring something to the table, it's an open forum. Who would you like to discuss? Barnsley? Luton Town?

Why would I slag off one of the best managers in world football?

I am not a Leeds fan. I just understand what a good football team looks like.

Surely a generic Championship chat thread should be in GF.

This is best talking about our immediate competitors, so as we move up it's those in 5th / 6th and the challengers between there and us. Or if we slip it's about those 22 and up to us.

With the occasional LOL thrown in at previous competitors we've had in relegation or promotion battles.

We're slap in the middle so it's simultaneously about pretty much no one right now and everyone from about 5th to 22nd. Which will narrow as we draw closer to the end of the season.

I was going to say that if I wanted to eulogise over how great Leeds are, I'd register on MOT, but that's not the place to go for that either at the moment.
