Hound I’m not writing any club below Boro off, just don’t think it’s likely looking at their sides and form so far

Obvs we could go on a very bad run and someone like Bristol could go on a very good run - but can’t see it

That’s not naivety just a judgement based on the season so far

If one of the top 6 falters I expect Boro will be there to take their place

Again agreed. Boro are by a distance the biggest threat. Stoke have recruited but not very well imo. Bristol City got off to a great start to the season but lack quality and depth. Blackburn score loads but are defensively poor and have a lot of ground to make up.
Preston could come into the equation if they beat us today.

Saw exactly how good a team in mid table are today in Preston

If a team like that forces their way into the top 6 I’ll be amazed

Yet the result shows you need to respect the teams below us... Rafael with some great saves today.

Since we lost at Brentford we have won 3, drawn 2 and kept 3 clean sheets. That’s excellent form - but let’s pick this up again in a few weeks time as the next 6 games look far trickier :D

Oh yeah there are few easy games, but the discussion was about someone being good enough to make up a big gap into the top 6

We’re certainly not nailed on by any stretch but I can’t see us losing 9 points to any of the teams from Stoke down

Colin is a big threat though. Their side looks solid to me and he obvs knows how to get out the league etc

Free scoring Blackburn with a total of one shot off target, 0 on, so far at Boro.

Blackburn 1 up mins after Boro should have scored

Blackburn are quite handy. They could be the only other one I could see jumping out of the pack

Blackburn should be winning comfortably

Stays this way and it’s not been a bad weekend. Boro have Norwich, Brentford, us and Rooney’s Derby away in the next 6 as well

Agree - they are the ones who could go on a run, especially with Bradley Dack back

Brereton, Armstrong, Gallagher are a decent forward line with Elliott and Dack supporting

Just not too good at the back

Of the top 6 only Swansea are definitely through, with Bournemouth still to play.

Don't know how much a Cup run will affect a teams promotion push or how likely there will be a potential fixture pile-up?

Bournemouth should get past Crawley even with an under strength side, their game is Tuesday for some reason and I can't imagine with our game on Friday any of their better players will play.

Watford draw 0-0 at Millwall, and Bournemouth's first team squeeze past Crawley 2-1.

Incredible game at Bristol city

Huddersfield lose 2-1 but have 27 shots compared to 4

Hit the post 4 times

Also 13 corners compared to 0

Almost embarrassed for Brizzle to win that

Yeah I was following that. Irritated that they won but I just don’t think they are good enough to mount a challenge.

Bristol City messageboard is an amusing read. They were dominated and are very unhappy with the performance even though they won. They were totally battered. Let’s hope their luck doesn’t hold.
Decent result at Millwall. Keeps Watford within our sights.
Need Brentford v Swansea to draw tomorrow night.

Then we need to beat the Muff on Friday night.
