All results going against us, either we turn this bad patch around or we'll just drift to a mid-table finish.

At the start of the month we were 16 points ahead of Cardiff. By the end of it we may well be below them. Astonishing.
Sure we overachieved at the start of the season. Overall we have underperformed since then.

Bournemouth have a very challenging run in, they could well fall off the pace.

If Big Mick had been appointed at the start of the season they would be out of sight in this form.
Definitely in the playoffs imo.
Swansea v Cardiff in the Playoff final anyone?

They seem to be on a Brian McDermott style run don’t they.

Looking at our squad vs theirs, whose is better? Difficult to say right now. Maybe we are just slipping back to our natural level?

I think our issue is not the quality of player we have, it’s the fact a lot are injury-prone, and the mentality of the forward players is a bit lacking

In truth the injuries haven’t been too bad during this latest bad run. Mentality is a big part of this and I think we are dropping back to our true position too.
I think our best 11 is a match for Cardiff and technically better but mentally weaker. They have more depth.
It’s just very disappointing. We have to win on Saturday because from now on any more defeats and we will be outside the top six and likely to slide.

A Bournemouth equaliser would be ideal. Barnsley now just three off us with a game in hand.

Happy with these results to date. Should give the squad a rocket up the arse.

Yep, happy how that panned out tonight. No wiggle room now, sometimes a big gap can lead to things being too comfortable. Players need to react now else we'll be playing catch up very quickly.

I doubt that very much. Paunovic will probably move the players around to get more of Ejarias pointless showboating and the teams glacial pace passing. Joao will no doubt spend the rest of the season crying.

probably 2 from 4 for the final play-off spots now. a real dogfight, we`re not completely out of it, but even if we fail it`s been a vast improvement on previous seasons. could be an exciting last couple of months.

That is also very likely. We're at the stage now where we'll either finish 5th or 9th.

Whatever happens it makes a change to be worried about dropping out of the playoffs instead of dropping out of the league. I still think we'll be ok.

Always thought that Cardiff were massively underperforming this season. Ojo/Moore/Wilson is a very good front line, and they've lots of decent champ players like Vaulks and Morrison in there. Can definitely see them making the POs.

Barnsley - I just get the feeling they'll get found out at some stage. Nothing really to back that up other than a lack of experience at the top end of the champ

As far as we are concerned no real point currently in hoping other teams win/lose at the moment. If we sort our own form out we'll make it, if we keep losing to crap like Wycombe we won't - simple as really

It's like the last few years of relegation fights.

Build up a buffer, get complacent and get sucked back in. Realise the danger, do just enough to pull away, get complacent again. We're just doing it at the other end of the table.
