4m? Is it only against us that he is embarrassingly useless then?

Saw 4 million somewhere but then 2 million somewhere else so most likely that. Still seems too much though, he seems to make a lot of errors

Been impressed with Brizzle’s signings otherwise tbh. If they sell Webster and make a profit overall on the lot then they’ve done very well

Jack Stacey being linked with Celtic for £2 million. Luton fans say he is worth a lot more than that. I bet they got him from us for next to nothing. Another oxf*rd up in the mother of all oxf*rd ups known as 2017.

Yep, was a poor move from us letting him move on so easily

Obviously young players need the games to develop, but dreadful move by Stam to let him go rather than start using him for RB and RW cover.

Would he have done a lot worse than Aluko? And at a tiny fraction of the cost.

Wish him well. Good player.

At the time would Stacey have been good enough to play regularly in what was thought to have going to be a PL promotion challenging team?

In the summer of 2017 I believe the club wanted to keep him but he wanted regular football and knew he could get that in the lower leagues and so Reading went and sold him for the standard “undisclosed fee” to allow him to progress. Personally I’d have wanted him to move on loan again but then who knows what goes on with transfer requests and negotiations.

Perhaps there was a sell on clause, anyone know?

With all the upheaval of take over and then what turned out to be the less than impressive signing of RG it really isn’t surprising he’s another one that got away. Thankfully there aren’t actually that many of them.

Happened before and it’ll happen again.

Bristol City seem to be quietly getting on with things, Tomas Kalas on a permanent deal being the lately likely move. Could be a good shout for promotion there.

Yes. He was a better player than Liam Kelly, who was good enough.

Brum managerless and lost arguably their best player - not a good summer for them so far.

Really don't get Forest. They seem to do everything to destabilise themselves as often as possible. Now another manager has arrived. How close are they to falling foul of FFP I wonder.

Lost Jota as well

Depends on how much of their fees they can re-invest I suppose

Adams and Jutkiewicz were one of the best big man small man partnerships in the league. Very effective combo. That loss will hit them hard

Jota? Nah, a good player but never suited to Birmingham (cough cough Aluko with us)

Think Jota had a slow start but ended up being quite effective for them. Decent player

Any chance of there being a decent sell on fee % attached to Jack Stacey's transfer to Luton? Considering our issues with FFP, any form of cash injection must surely be welcome.

Doubtful, if Gourlay was involved.
