From Despair To Where? And the next. We finished 8th in the Premier League and they got releglated to League 1. To be honest, he left towards the end of that season so I didn't get to see him cry into his Leeds Utd mug as they went into administration the minute it became mathematically impossible to stay up.

Beautiful stuff. I hate Leeds precisely because of the entitlement. I’m sick of hearing wnakers on the radio saying Leeds deserve to be in Premier League.

And also Fulham - because of that as well - utterly laughable team.

What would be your preference in a Leeds Fulham playoff final?

Both teams lose, fans riot and both are kicked out of the Football League

I remember really upsetting another Leeds fan, almost to tears by saying "You know you're really up shit creek when being bought by Ken Bates is the best offer you get".

Again, the Bradford fans loved it because I was above all the local rivalry shit and I was never nasty, I just dealt in home truths.

I think my favourite put down was "You only exist because Leeds City cheated. Funny how things never change".

They do deserve to be in the Premier League, they are a huge club with a rich history.

Not so rich that they haven't gone into administration twice.

And their history consists of fcuk all before Revie turned up (OK, maybe 1 Division 2 title) and 1 title since.

Only Forest are more defined by 1 man.

But to be fair apart from the 106 points we have no history whatsoever.

Aye. They did well in the 70s and early 90's, had a good catchment area to pick up fans (hence the huge fanbase which skews things IMO)

But they're hardly Liverpool or Manchester United.

Nope, you are always where you deserve to be.
I they don’t make it up this season then they will deserve to be in the Championship

And the relevance of that is?

For all their "rich" history, for a club formed in 1919, Leeds spent the bulk of the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 80's and 21st, Century slumming it outside the top flight. Their "rich history is mainly a 10 year period 50+ years ago.

To compare Reading's history to Leeds' is straw clutching. Reading is a provincial town in a traditionally non footballing area, Leeds is a major regional industrial centre in football's heartlands. Try comparing like for like, such as Liverpool, Manchester or Birmingham.

If Reading supporters don't care then why are they all so triggered by Leeds United? We wish we could be them, thats the truth.

The 'big club' or 'have no history' arguments are the two most painfully dull in the whole of football

Seriously who gives a toss? Even the Prince Harry 'saga' is more interesting

About to say that too, although I think the “you have no history” argument is the worst

You have no history
Your attendances are shite
You're tinpot

The triumvirate of nonsense from fans of clubs who have done nothing for 20 years.

I think people are jealous of Leeds to a degree. They have great support, great players, great coach and have achieved greatness before.
