Can Kermorgant & Grabban recreate their Partnership??

by pwb » 02 Feb 2017 13:23

Found this, could they find their "love" again?

The us/we is Bournemouth.

"What sort of partnership did Grabban form with Kermorgant?
It's probably down to his partnership with Yann that we went from flirting with relegation when Yann arrived to finishing 10th in our first season in the Championship. They're probably a bit rusty, it's been a couple of years, but let them get that old telepathy going again in training and they'll be great on the pitch. It didn't take them long to get a partnership going for us from nothing, so they'll be firing before you know it. Lewis reads Yann's flick-ons and through balls with ease. And Yann knows Lewis's runs. They were a joy to watch. It's exactly what Yann needs too - he was just starting to get a good partnership going with Rakels when he got his injury, and Yann's at his best when he has a pacy strike partner to work with."

Unless we change formation again, I'm not sure they'll see too many minutes up front together. Could be wrong.

Sure they will be used as a front two in our 3-4-1-2 system of recent weeks?

Rotated with McCleary though, assuming McCleary will be used behind the forwards aswell

Think Stam may operate with two central strikers occasionally, just because we can and would therefore leave the opposition guessing about what to expect until the last minute.

Probably not everyone one knows about you, so I thought I would share.

Crediting your source would be polite.

A link to the Tilehurst End perhaps ?

Could we play a 5-3-2 or a 3-5-2 (basically the same). With G-mac and beerens as wing backs? And grabben/kermit upfront?

Yes, we could.

We'd also lose every game.

And made sure no one who liked it could find them easily too.

Yann playing deeper seems to have brought out the best in him recently. Allowing the other players to play off and past him. Upfront he poses little threat as lacks any pace. Easy for the opposition to then stifle Readings attacking threat.

Really missed him against Brum.
