Looking for positives (or explanation of some sort) can we say that we were chasing the game from 2 down and got caught on the break?!

Still 7 points clear for a play off place.....games are running out.....we should be safe looking at the fixtures.....get through that and then its the playoff lottery. I'd have been more than happy with that before the season started.

Oh look a 7 page thread so that's 1 goal conceded for every page

And I can recall Reading losing 6-0 at Walsall in 1985/86 so it wouldn't be the first time to get promoted on a back of a season with league result like that in it

Silver Fox
Emeraldroyal Jesus wept this is bad....

On a plus note Huddy are 1 down at Forest our next away opponents :D

Is Villa off?

I generally disagree with the entitled whining you get when away fans demand some money off the players but this is getting silly.

I'm heading Forest away. That's what I mean....honest !

There must surely be NO positives to take from a result like this, no matter how hard you look .. and Premiership football next season ?
.. God help us !!

But surely not also containing a 5-0,4-1,4-1 defeat within the same season. A truly random season, happy that we are exceeding expectations but god we are seemingly a hairs breadth from total capitulation in our approach-this has to be addressed next season.

I'm sure Norwich lost against Colchester 7-1 a few years ago, sacked the manager, then went on to win the league that same season

Mid Sussex Royal
Ian Royal You see this is why I think promotion could be damaging. We're so bad away from home and against top opposition our home form will evaporate and losing will become a habit again.

No team who gets repeatedly thrashed away from home should get promoted.

How many smashings is it now? Newcastle, Brentford, Fulham... Norwich.

Lots of work to do still.

So bad away from home? Typical kneejerk reaction
How many games have we won away?
Howe many did we win last season ? and the season before?

It's not really knee jerk if it's based on six defeats on the road by three goals or more, and something I've been saying for months though. Is it.

6-1 down at HT should be reserved for games where you've had your goalie sent off, are down to 9 or playing a team a couple of divisions above you in the cup. If then.

Still on the plus side...ol Jaap's stock will have taken a tumble. He may still be with us next season :D

IIRC the Manager in that defeat was local hero and talisman Brian Gunn. Sadly not the best of career choices for him...

Plus wasn't the CU manager Paul Lambert and a week or two later Paul was the new Norwich boss.

Thankfully we won't have to face any Paul Lambert teams this season. Oh hang on...

Burton won't be easy. Nor will Forest. The other 2 really should be 6 points
