Or maybe it means that Liam Kelly's buyout clause has been activated? Hmm?

Muskrat Or maybe it means that Liam Kelly's buyout clause has been activated? Hmm?

Except he apparently doesn't have one. No departures of key players beyond Ali and Williams this window.

In a way I admire your kniavity in thinking that one of our best prospects who signs a three year contract extension in July doesn't have a buyout clause built in. But then again it's Friday night and I've had a few tinnies tbf. And Williams was out of contract so fcuk all to do with us or the transfer window :|

Snowflake Royal I don't want to block particularly Kelly, but I do want us to perform consistently better there.
!

Kelly simply has to start, he's our best midfielder. End of.

Exactly the type of player we need. A couple of years older than one would like, but that helps to keep the fee down.

Experienced pro in the Championship and PL. Should know how to manage game situations, captain at Wolves, so a good leader and chips in with goals.

Not a glamour signing if it happens, but a significant one nonetheless.

Yeah, agreed with most of the above posters. Decent signing and fits the bill for what we need. Seen some Wolves fans say he's not great on the ball but that's not too much of an issue - he can just lay it off to Kelly or back to the defence rather than making any particularly extravagant passes himself.

Brian Tevreden shaking hands with someone on twitter and carabao cans are out. Signing imminent. Assume it's Edwards

Nice. Pleased with this

Strikes me as the type who can both help shake the side up when we start a game poorly, and also maybe snatch an away goal if we are playing rubbish - 2 things we are massively missing

Not a signing that jumps out at you like a £10million striker, but a canny one in this league. He will give us another option and some good experience to help guide the younger players.

Pleased with this.

leon
Muskrat Sounds similar to another midfielder that we signed from Wolves in 1989, who went on to become a Royals legend. All Hail the new Mick Gooding! :D
Q
Would be very pleased with this signing if it happens.

Fcuk me, if he's as good as that, then happy days. Pound for pound the best Reading player over his time at Reading the best player I've seen.

Agreed. With possible exception of Shaka....

Comes across as fairly articulate and doesn't strike me as being a total idiot.

From a Wolves supporting work colleague

"Hard working, gets a few goals but his general game is average. Decent championship player but that's his limit".

Will be a decent squad player for us

Yeah sounds a good addition

Have players who can provide the skill and flair, he should give us the experience and leadership we sometimes lack
