We keep playing like we've got a big target man striker on the pitch.

Are we really this fcuking stupid?

Sutekh And the search for a first half goal will go on to Saturday.

Strap - from your extensive records are you able to confirm the longest run of league games that Reading have gone without scoring in the first half? Is this current run of 9 league games a record?

As to the game, it sounds like the performance is an improvement on the dross served up on Saturday but still carrying about as much threat as rubber duck.

Actually we're not even close Sutekh!!

Currently the worst run I can find is 15 games - we were 1st half goalless from 17/03/1971 (lost 0-2 H Plymouth), to 14/08/1971 (lost 1-3 A Hartlepool). The run was broken when Terry Bell scored in the first half v Chester on 21/08/1971.

It's probably no consolation that the 1st 14 games of that run ended up with our relegationm to Div 4 for the first time in our history.

Just to add some context, this is only League games since 1937. We have also had a run of 10, (Nov 2011), and 2 others of 9, (2004 and 2008). Full details if interested.

It's beyond belief. Get it down the wings, put a cross in. There is no one there because wingers don't know what positions to take up and they're also midgets.

Do play off games count? Cos if they do you can add the last three games of last season too, so it's actually 12 straight games

He's amazing, but that's twice now that APOEL have left him completely unmarked. Especially that 3rd goal, embarrassing defending

Millwall currently playing like the away team, literally 8 men in and around the box.

Beerens is always far side attacking outside far post. Aluko is always arriving late (as in after the cross has been cleared) as he is pissing about on the halfway line trying to make something happen. Nobody near post where most our crosses go...

That's pretty mental. Only first half goal in 15 in all comps then was Bacuna's vs Millwall in the cup

The lack of moment in that play just now is borderline criminal. No one wants it.
