Hendo
paultheroyal Out of all that teams will get...

Blackpool 9 = 44
Cardiff 5 = 44
Wigan 9 = 42 (39)
Huddersfield 4 = 37
QPR 7 = 49
Reading 8 = 52 (48)

I will let someone else do the maths where that leaves us...

Can't believe you let Hendo do the math

:?

Blackpool 35 + 9 = 44
Cardiff 39 + 5 = 44
Wigan 33 + 9 - 42 (39 with possible points deduction)
Huddersfield 33 + 4 - 37
QPR 42 + 7 = 49
Reading 44 + 8 = 52 (46 with possible points deduction)

Things looking a tad bleak for the club with a 6 points deduction looming and 8 players out for the season.

However, looks like Huddersfield don't have an easy run, but do worry we might end up with a winner takes all situation in the last game of the season and by then we could be down to mainly Academy players at the current rate. Lets hope we can scrape enough points together in the next 7 to avoid it going to the last day.

Have you noticed the rise in injuries to the Reading players since the vaccine?

Good thinking. I had missed that point.

Well what a last 7 games in the offing as we now have 7 sides who could go down. Having had a look at the remaining fixtures all 7 have a difficult run in. QPRs looks the hardest of all - with their next 5 games against top half teams and their last but one away against in form Stoke.

Sadly based on current form the favourites to occupy the bottom three are now Wigan, Blackpool and us - but a couple of wins might be enough to change that. And on the final day we have Huddersfield against Reading, Wigan home to Rotherham and Cardiff away at Burnley - so it could be an "interesting" day.

I'd back us with an average amount of injuries, but with 11 out and most of those season ending, in addition to Carroll and Mbengue playing through injuries, it looks a very tall order now.

It's important that we keep as many teams down there as possible with us and scrape 3 wins. It's going to be tough with the injuries to key players. We need to target Birmingham and Wigan at home as wins, draws are no good. We need to get another away win somewhere too, hopefully not needing one at Huddersfield on the last day!

Surely QPR are worse on form?

(Though I think one win and they can turn it round)

6 games away from disaster. If we can't get 1 point more than QPR in the next 6 then we deserve everything we get.

Not sure about that. They were 2-0 and came back to get a draw at WBA and they should’ve won by all accounts. I reckon we’ll get one more point at home to Wigan so we look doomed tbh.

This feels exactly the same as 12 months ago or so when under Porno we simply couldn't buy a win from anywhere, and we looked like we were in a very dark place.

Then we got a win away at Preston, Porno left and we turned the corner.

Ironic that, 12 months on, it is a defeat at Preston that seems to have been the result that appears to be another turning point......
