genome Football is funny isn't it. We were in terrible form going into yesterday's game, now we've got 2 wins in 4.

It's kind of annoying we've found ourselves away from home next against one of the form sides in the league - could've done with another home game to back this result up.

Indeed. Derby pretty much the last game I'd choose at the moment

Said on another thread, if we'd beaten Boro, we'd have been 5 points off the POs with a game in hand. Pretty incredible considering how sh!t we've generally been

Yep, and if your Aunt had bollox she'd be your Uncle. We didn't and were still 20th.

I have done the sums. If we had won all the games that we lost or drew we'd be top of the league by a country mile.

biff Mannone, woahh, Mannone, woahh, he came from Italy, to play for RFC......

"When they shoot at the net and it's saved last minute, that's Mannone"

Surely a play on Copa Cabana (sic?) - "His name is Vito, Vito Mannone, If you shoot at the goal, he's in the way"

Or just the usual repeat of his name

"Bacuna, Obita ooh I want to take ya.
McCleary, Ilori come on pretty mommy" might work with Aluko, Jaakola, Popa etc..
I have to stop now

SCIAG When they ask for the manager to be sacked after every loss, you'd think most of our fans weren't born when we got 106 points...

I have to say this isn't really what's going on at the moment. I think there's still a lot of good will and I think the majority really want Stam to get it right.

Yes, I was certainly exaggerating. I think it slowly and gradually ramped up to around half the fans wanting Stam gone before Tuesday, many of them reluctantly. Unfortunately that's not quite as punchy.

Meant to mention a couple of things.

I loved some of the flicks and back heels, the way this bunch of
players are so much more comfortable on the ball

Second, the way Kermy took defenders away to make the extra space for Aluko's first goal

What this game brought home to me was how important it is for us to have a fully fit John Swift playing at the top of his game.

The second goal typified this. It was Swift who picked out Barrow on the right with a delightful pass from midway inside his own half (at this point Barrow was already inside the Forest half). Swift then bust a gut to race forward at top speed to get onto the end of Bacuna's cross and score.

Swift seems to be a very good hybrid of Sidwell and Harper, both of who played key roles in our 106 year and time in the PL. Thank goodness we have him on a long contract. If we have to sell at some point, he should go for really big money.
