FAO all of those other than the knuckle dragging cavemen on here, the game is being shown live on The FAPlayer (web and app).

On The FAPlayer you can also see Fara Williams talk through her top five goals, three of which she has scored since she's been with Reading. There's some real crackers there. She also repeated her feat of scoring direct from kickoff whilst with us.

Well an incredible finish to that game! I always thought they could get at least an equaliser and so it proved. Never say die attitude and complete belief from the players.

Great deliveries from Fara Williams to set up two massive goalmouth scrambles in rapid succession, the second of which resulted in the equaliser.

Also they have scored 6 goals from corners this season. That’s three more than any other team in the league. Maybe the men’s team should be looking for some tips.

Funny you should say that. When I saw that goalmouth scramble, I was certain that the Brighton women's team had picked up their defensive tips from Reading's men's team.

A result from Sunday Arsenal ladies 11 Bristol City Ladies 1 must have send a shudder through the Royals ladies dressing room, as their next WSL match is at Adams Park High Wycombe next Sunday December 8th KO 2.30 pm against Arsenal Ladies !!!
This is followed on Wednesday December 11th by the ladies last continental cup group match away to Chelsea KO 7pm. This match is being played at Wimbledon’s ground at Kingston upon Thames.(Cherry red records stadium).

To be fair, I don't think the Women's Squad is ever phased by the opposition, no matter who they are. Indeed there are times when they seem to struggle more against weaker teams than the top three or four. Tempting fate, I predict this will be another close encounter.

I have just noticed the Continental cup rules
Teams will play each other once at the group stage with each game being played to a conclusion. If the result of a group match is a draw after 90 minutes then a penalty shootout will take place with points distributed as follows:

• Teams will receive three points for winning a group game in 90 minutes
• Teams will receive two points if a group game is tied after 90 minutes and they win the penalty shootout
• Teams will receive one point if a group game is tied after 90 minutes and they lose the penalty shootout

The top two teams in each group progress to the quarter finals and further knockout stages.
With 1 match to go Group D looks like
1 Chelsea P 4 pts 12
2 Reading P 4 pts 9 GD + 10
3 West Ham P 4 pts 7 GD + 1
4 Tottenham P 4 pts 5
5 Crystal Palace P 4 pts 3
6 Lewes P 4 pts 0
So Wednesday night is a massive game for the Royals as West Ham are home to Palace and should win to finish on 10, so the Royals will need to get a point at least from the Chelsea game
