But it's not like they had 1 win in 18 games when he was sacked.
They were fifth, and 5 points off the top of the table. They also had 1 loss in 19 games before a 7 game winless streak got him sacked (3 defeats).
It was a ridiculous sacking.
Yeah but tbf they had the goal machine Nick Blackman. He's good for at least a 30 goal head start every August.
I don't think the reaction to his 'football' is anything like what the reaction to Stam's implementation of it though. Most of the posts were fairly positive about him, but its clearly not going to be hung-ho attacking football, and will probably be a fairly smooth transition from Stam
I may be wrong, but I can't remember a huge amount of talk about his style of football until after he was sacked. Which seemed to be fairly out of the blue and all from Mel Morris rather than because the crowd were booing etc

bagman Looks like its Clement, but please, please not Nigel Gibbs as his assistant as he was at Swansea. So really negative around the place and a major poor influence on the players by his character.
Elm Park Kid I want McDermott
I will take Clement.

You want counselling if you genuinely want McDermott back. Stop living in the past, its over now. Just move on.

But as a Chelsea fan, that's all you've got.

Told Paul Clement expected to move to Reading.
From a Sun journo
I'm not sure I want Clement. But hey, if he comes, he will have my full backing.
Personally I would want a manager who can give this lot a kick up the arse like Coppell or Redknapp and go in for Parky next season.
Murty would be amazing to have back but he is managing in a poor league with only one other decent side in there.
Why not Dylan Kerr. Seems like he gains respect wherever he goes and would give everything for the cause. I'm sure he won't pussyfoot around our overpaid prima donnas and go back to basics.

John Smith Hoping it can be Paul Clement as he worked with Gylfi before and will be able to persuade him to come home to the Madejski

Thats an interesting read. Gives a good all round viewpoint.
The abuse of Blackman is quite funny as well
Apparently tried to implement a continental passing style and failed - his team lacked the grit that was required in the championship.
Excellent.
