windermereROYAL
Sutekh Quick update in addition to Edwards, Obita and Richards being injured

No idea how long Eza will be out

Bodvarsson now has a back injury

Yiadom is rated as doubt for Bristol City

But Clement (see, I said he had been injured) and Popa will back in training soon.

It`s seriously hard to suggest any team in the history of the game have injuty issues has severe as ours, every little knock and it seems they are out for months and in some cases years.
I was watching the youtube video of our 106 season the other day, Glen little went off with a horrendous gash to his leg, he was fcuking back playing within 3 weeks. imagine that now???

yeah, and they all walked to training in their bare feet, lugging sacks of coal, blah blah

A cut, even a deep cut, is not going to stop you playing as long as a muscle or ligament injury. Have any of our players taken months out for a cut? If not, it's not a fair comparison.

Possibly some players are reluctant to play in front of a hostile crowd in a losing team and therefore might exaggerate how injured they are. But it's very unlikely that all of the injury issues are down to that. when you look at the goalkeepers for instance - massive opportunity for Walker or for Jaakkola when Mannone was out, they're not going to throw that away willingly for an insignificant niggle

Training methods? the Physio department? a curse?

Bod's injury record is starting to become quite an issue. Seems to have barely put 5 or 6 games together without getting an injury. Big loss as well

Time to start worrying about Obita as well? Was meant to be back in October, still no word of him returning to training even.

Reading have been signing I jury prone players on the cheap. It isn't the training, it's the player himself.

Please come back, Jon Fearn. Ten year contract and three times what you are earning at present......

If we don't have a big striker can't we play McNulty and Baldock
in a 4-4-2, and have them run the wide channels rather than try to take on the CBs?

This 100%, 4-4-2 and McNulty and Baldock as a tandem, both are tricky and skillful and would be a proper nuisance in the box. Two speedy wingers, i guess Barrow and McCleary and i would go for Rinomota and Bacuna in the middle. Get the ball to the wings and play good old fashioned football. It would be nice to have a big center forward but balls can be hit in low and still cause problems.

I expect we'll go with Baldock up top and McCleary and Barrow wide. Wouldn't mind seeing McNulty get more minutes.

There's always House, who is more of a lead the line type I think.

4-1-4-1 seems to be Clements favoured formation currently.

Expect Loader is ahead of him in the queue, and by quite a way

Wouldn’t be suprised to see him make the bench whilst Bod is out

Expect Meite will be patched up for Ipswich. Crappy international week after I think to give him 2 weeks after that to recover properly

Oh I'd certainly put Loader ahead of House generally, but I've not seen Loader lead the line, and that's what we're missing, not what I've seen from Loader.
