Not up on Seville’s team. How many of the first 11 played? how many of the first team squad?

A little surprised folks sound flat because our kids lost the second half 2-1 to a serious Europa League team.

On the back of two very solid wins wasn’t that a top result? I was expecting at least a 3/4 goal defeat

I think we're all pretty happy with it.

Like Reading they played two teams, one in each half. They had good players out there in both. Although some were missing like Ben Yedder, who from pictures looks like he has enjoyed his summer off immensely, and Jesus Navas. They really stepped it up in the second half when Reguillon (who is on loan from Real Madrid and kept Marcelo out for long periods last season) and Nolito were introduced.

Personally I think we did quite well considering the quality Sevilla had. No surprise we were outclassed in the end.

Team for this morning's game - Virginia gets a start and Swift drops down to the "B" team - with no Barrett involved would suggest he'll start tonight's game:

Virginia

Watson
Osho
Odimayo
Richards

East
Boadu
Swift

Holsgrove
Frost
Baldock

interesting team. No Novakovich there either. Think Barrett may have a niggle as he didn't play against Sevilla either

finished 0-0. Some good saves from our keepers apparently. Sounds like Baldock had and missed a few chances

That's ok. We don't need a striker according to some people.

Continues the good defensive form this pre-season.

Only one goal conceded from open play in 4 games now.

Also a clean sheet, so our CB issue is all sorted. Sweet. I would be more concerned if Baldock didn't have the chances to miss.
Read like a good run out for the lads, in that heat as well. Lots of players getting some good game time in the last few matches.

We do need a striker, not many people are doubting that. Priorities are needed in other areas, feasibly we have 5 players that can play upfront

yep that pretty much

Do wonder if we sold Novakovich and brought in a 22 year old international striker, with 30 odd goals in the last 2 years in a top European league, then people would relax a little though.

Hmm injury prone John Swift playing his second game of the day, but no sign of Barrow or Novakovich for friendly #2

Barrett back in

Gomes is now just guessing. He's got no resources and won't be getting any so he's just shuffling about until something sticks, and I can't blame him.
