Jagermesiter1871 Swift is 18 months older and is a much more accomplished player. Just didn't come through the academy.

Clearly you haven't seen me talk about Swift.

Rino shat all over Swift last season.

It's odd to be comparing them because they're totally different types of player, but for the record -

Swift is clearly more technically skilled and has a better range of vision and passing for opening up defences and general attacking.

On the other hand, Rino is far more consistent, seriously superior in positioning, workrate and defensive qualities. He carries the ball forward quicker. His passing is more reliable... he just plays the simple ball. His shielding of the ball is excellent and he rarely turns into trouble or takes on too much.

In essence he's a much safer and smarter footballer who doesn't do flashy but is very effective. And all of this with a lot less first team experience than Swift and at a younger age.

If Swift can maintain his better performances this season it'll be much closer between them and Swift could also be a contender for PotS.

I think if Swift maintains this form, he could be in with a shout for the league player of the year. :D

But overall agreed, they are two different players who really can't be compared, and to say Rino is overrated, is just a bit shortsighted, perhaps trying to be 'edgy'.

Swift will be able to thrive when there is proper movement ahead of him.

Whoscored has Swift as the 4th highest rated player in the league right now. 4.3 key passes per game is quite frankly nuts.

In fact if you include players to only make 1 app so far he only drops to 7th. 2 of the players who move above him are Ovie Ejaria and Rafael Cabral.

If he keeps up this form (which he cant surely?) We will win the league.

he created 7 chances on Sunday, which is absolutely mental

he was very unlucky to only come away with the one assist

The one that impressed me was where we broke, he was challenged, going down he hooked the ball for a pass which put Puscas and Meite away for what should have been Puscas' hat-trick goal.

The tenacity, the desire (and he was hurt doing it) was great

Jarrod Bowen 8.52 from 3 games top by a mile

How the hell did they keep hold of him?

Let's be fair though. Half of that score is from playing us where he got a goal and an assist without actually playing well.

do you need to play well if you get an assist and goal in a 2-1 win?

£25m Jack Butland the 3rd worst rated player in the division so far

Miazga, Swift, Ejaria and Puscas all make team of the week.

When was the last time we managed that?

Realistically Yiadom should be in it too hit they classified him as a right mid so Bowen pipped him.
