morganb 4th Round Draw on BBC1 this evening before the Arsenal v Leeds game, programme starts at 7:30pm

Ball 20 Reading or Blackpool

These are the other teams in the draw - who would we like?

1 Leicester City
2 Queens Park Rangers
3 Fulham
4 Chelsea
5 Wolverhampton Wanderers or Manchester United
6 West Bromwich Albion
7 Rochdale or Newcastle United
8 Cardiff City or Carlisle United
9 Oxford United
10 Sheffield United
11 Southampton
12 Liverpool or Everton
13 Bristol City or Shrewsbury Town
14 AFC Bournemouth
15 Sheffield Wednesday
16 Bristol Rovers or Coventry City
17 Barnsley
18 Manchester City
19 Middlesbrough or Tottenham Hotspur
20 Reading or Blackpool
21 Watford or Tranmere Rovers
22 Norwich City
23 Millwall
24 Derby County
25 Hull City
26 Brentford
27 Portsmouth
28 Arsenal or Leeds United

Hope to avoid any of those away from home, mainly the Champ teams to be honest

Think we'll get something like Portsmouth away

13 away is made somewhat less exciting by the fact that we're scheduled to play the same game that day already

Except we're at home in the league if we both lose the replay.

Both win the replays and get drawn at home to City in the cup.

Yeah, would like a day visit there

The last four/five times I’ve been down there for Pompey/Southampton/Bournemouth, it’s always been a night game which is a bit of a shame

Good news with that draw is that he will now field a strong team against Blackpool!

8th May 1982 was the last game. 2-2 at Elm Park.

Wonder if the draw will indeed encourage MB to field a stronger side in the replay.

When the playere ooze as much class as they do then don't they have the right to have hair like that?

Saw that. Carlisle went up that season and a certain Peter Beardsley played for them that day.

The disgraced racist Peter Beardsley?

Really sad about Beardsley, just spends the days cooking poached eggs for his wife and having a chicken wrap from the local supermarket...

According to the BBC, if we manage to beat Blackpool in the replay, our game against Cardiff/Carlisle will be 15:00 on the Sunday. That seems a little strange

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/fa ... s-fixtures

Also surprised if United beat Wolves, they're listed as a Saturday 3pm game. Presume that's the wrong way around?
