URZZZZ On the actual game itself because no-one has posted a BFTG thread yet, I thought the three CB's were solid yet unspectacular. Some poor passes from them in certain situations though put us in danger

Richards was OK but no better, Yiadom fluctuated between great and poor, Pele was the standout for me, took up some good positions in the midfield and played simple passes. Rino was lacking today, some really poor passes and touches, and McCleary wasn't much better

Puscas was dire the first 75 minutes but then from no-where turned into a mixture of Messi and Ronaldo (I notice Karbota is quiet tonight ). Meite was a threat while he was on and Joao was improved. Didn't get to see much of Boye's cameo or Adam but apparently they were both decent which is a positive

+1
Boye was decent I thought, caused them some trouble

What is it about being 1-0 down to Wigan going into the last 10 minutes?!

Wigan must hate playing us :D

Reminded me a bit of the Bolton 3-1 win back in 2007, 3 goals in the last 10 minutes to win that too

It's funny because I swear Wigan used to have our number, looks like situations have reversed.

Yeah. Unbeaten against them now in 5 games, winning 4 of them. Last defeat was that horrible 1-0 defeat in Feb 15 which was nearly as bad as the Sheffield United defeat a couple of seasons ago

Hound Is Paul Cook genuinely suggesting Wigan were hard done by with that pen? Bloody hell

I didn’t think it was a penalty until
I was told about the handball
To be fair

I did not believe
It was a clear penalty
but it hit his hand

3points Don’t suppose we have a recall clause on Barrow in January. Puscas really looks like he’d thrive on proper wingers pinging early balls into the box. Not sure Bowen would be brave enough to drop either Swift or Ovie and regularly play 4-4-2

yeah, this was obvious from the early Gomes games - he tried to get the width from the fullbacks.

Puscas will chip away at the goals either way. He's clearly talented but this is clearly also a steep learning curve for him.

windermereROYAL Just home after a long day out, this thread is comedy genius. do any fans turn has much as our lot?

The idea that only Reading fans are fickle and make emotional overreactions is frankly ridiculous. Yes, other fans are as bad as us.

I assume WR neglected to mention the point Wigan booed their sub on at 1-0 up for a reason

Like oxf*rd are our fans even near the worst for turning on players

We've got our fair share of total Belmonts, doesn't make all or even most of us fickle thickies

More adventurous line up will result in more chances created. Playing 5 at the back serves a purpose. Too often limits attacking options though.

Most of our goals with 5 at the back has come from counter attacks/set pieces. When teams set up to frustrate, and our set pieces aren't on form, we may as well not be there in an attacking sense

Bowen's flexibility and adaptability won us the game yesterday. He should have thought about doing it at Brentford/Leeds, he didn't, but hopefully it's a sign of learning from mistakes

Trouble is our wing backs just don’t get forward enough, although Yiadom TBF does have his moments.

In fairness, it’s hardly like he did anything before scoring, and most likely would have come on before then anyway

Who knows, could have had 4 if he was a bit fresher...

URZZZZ I've watched 74 minutes of this stream, it stops working and we score two straight away...

That sounds similar to me. Was out on Saturday and checked the updates every now and then for the first 70 mins or so. Didn't get round to checking after that until pretty much full-time assuming it was going to be a defeat and couldn't believe it when I saw it was 3-1!

Driving from Reading to Bath I followed the game on BBC Berks. The gods of the airwaves were smiling, or maybe it was because it was sunset, but I could still get the station on my car radio at Cold Ashton, south of J18 on the M4 and some 40 miles from any part of Berkshire. Caught the first 2/3 of the hat trick, but then turned westward and distance +Somerset hills denied me reception and the final goal.
