bcubed Like the look of Araruna a lot
Great skill and getting stuck in with some good tackles
But most of all great awareness of the game and what is happening around him and where he should be.

Much agreed. I have long held the theory that DMs and WBs have roughly the same skill set and if Araruna can play this decently centrally I'll be very happy.

NewCorkSeth How does that even happen.

Its the old not taking advantage when on top rule

Had some decent chances and didn't put them away

Ejaria dicked 5 players and put it an inch wide. We were at least trying to finish it off.

For a squad of this supposed "talent" this is absolutely atrocious viewing. Bowen has a lot to answer for once again

Two points pissed up the wall. Hull were rubbish. Poor finishing again.

We go to Cardiff 8 days ago with a 5-3-2, no attacking threat bar the first 10 minutes
We go to Cardiff 4 days later, set up with a 5-3-2, and again, no attacking threat. So we change to a 4-4-2/4-2-3-1 and we create chance after chance. We use the width of the pitch well with Gunter and McCleary and then Blackett and Richards constantly an outlet

So what does Bowen do? He wastes another 45 minutes on a formation that was never going to work. He includes three people who play the exact same position on the bench and doesn't have a single winger on there. He continues to give Ejaria 90 minutes, who, apart from two little runs, was woeful once again. Why is he so undroppable? Getting sick and tired of watching him lose the ball

Two average teams playing out an average game

Tbh I don’t think there was huge amounts wrong with the tactics, formation etc - it’s just simply some of our players didn’t play well enough

Swift and Ejaria both did the basics but seem to have lost the magic spark that made them so good earlier in the season.

Defence is much the same that went 4 games without conceding or whatever it was but keep making silly mistakes

Pele prob out motm, he is carrying the midfield a bit at the moment l. Could have done with some Adam style quality passing but the Gunter sub left us a little short of options. Think Obita picked up a knock

Had a very dead rubber feel about it, but we really should have won pretty comfortably

Sloppy, slow and negative as soon as we went one up.

Once again we do our trick of giving a confidence boost to a team who are abject and out of form. The Hull manager must have been thrilled after their performance last week when he saw Reading were up next.

Well that was shit. Bowen made the obvious change at HT going 4-4-2 switching Moore back to then left. But for some unknown reason he stuck Swift out on RW and left him there all half where he's utterly wasted and actually several times a liability. Speaking liabilities Aluko was shit.

Pele had a poor game with poor passing galore and Ejaria oxf*rd about way too much delivering nothing but pretty twists. Blackett played like a moron at LFB. So many of them are more interested in drag backs, nutmegs and flicks than actually scoring a goal.

Bowen got a lot wrong today. 3 at the back doesn't work with Moore RCB, it needs Miazga, maybe McIntyre. 4-4-2 doesn't work with your creative midfield outlet at RW and your total luxury deep in midfield. How McCleary wasn't involved when that was obviously one of the back up plans is crazy.

Apart from one bad moment where he gave away a free kick Aluko wasn't shit, Ian. Change the record.

Rafael 7 - some good holds

Gunter 5 - pointless as a RWB, no ambition whatsoever. Yet we keep playing him there
Moore 6 - part of a shaky back four, no major errors though
Morrison 6 - was OK on the whole, couple of dodgy moments aside
Blackett 4 - miles too casual, doesn't particularly look like he wants to be here anymore
Obita 5 - he isn't good enough, it's as simple as that, passenger for 60 minutes apart from the goal which, in all honesty, should easily have been saved

Pele 5 - did well off the ball, poor on the ball
Swift 5 - aside from the assist, he lost it time and time again, he's been poor for a few games running no
Ejaria 5 - as usual, he'll look good on an end of season highlights compilation but in reality, he doesn't offer enough. Needs a turn on the bench now

Baldock 6 - lively and made some decent runs, end product lacking slightly at times, poor decision to sub him off
Meite 5 - further highlights the "not a striker" argument

Araruna 7 - MOTM, did more in 30 seconds in the RWB role than Gunter did in 30 minutes
Richards 5 - buzzed around, didn't offer too much
Aluko 5 - started lively first 10 minutes, good give and go with Richards but then lost it in a dangerous area, got himself booked and became a passenger

Bowen 4 - wrong selection, wrong formation, wrong subs bench, wrong subs used. Another poor display at the office for him

Someone really needs to drill the message into Ejaria that you create a bit of space to DO something with it, not for the sake of creating it.

He loves to turn so much he ignored opportunities to move forward into space, just so he could draw someone in and then turn them left and right.

So frustrating.

The longer you dwell on it, the less on balance and in control you are and the more you'll be crowded out. Got to play quick ball.

Thought Morrison was pretty poor today tbh.

The team just look a bit tired and a bit directionless. Actually we didn’t sit back at all after our goal and the period before they scored was undoubtedly our best period of the game

Frustrating - Hull offered absolutely no threat until their goal. Would and should have been a solid if slightly dull 1-0. Need to get back to keeping clean sheets first and foremost

If Puscas had put in a performance like that you would give him a 3, Sam was awful.
