Carrico, O Shea and Duberry fit the bill. Squad is looking better and better!

Did Bullivant play for Reading? Bowen didn’t make a league app.

Charlie Adam - Dropped off most peoples radars once he left the Premier League

Daley Thompson - Trained with us, even scored in a friendly.

Simon Cox? Two spells with us but probably best remembered for Swindon and West Brom.

I like the Sean Goater Nom - Would replace Antonio with it - as we basically created Antonio, so hes definitely one of ours. Like Siggurdson.

Thought that was Foinavon in 1966? If you're right we'll have 'em both as mascots.

FINAL SQUAD AND MUCH IMPROVED BY SUGGESTIONS FROM THE MASSIVE

Criteria - players of significance that the general footballing public would probably be surprised to learn had played for Reading.

All league match starters - no George Bests or Daley Thompsons friendly apps. - ideally cameo careers

1, Jim Leighton
2. Nathan Ake
3. Wayne Bridge
4. John O'Shea
5. Martin Keown
6. Michael O'Neill
7. Ray Houghton
8. Royston Drenthe
9. Les Ferdinand
10. Yakubu
11. Michail Antonio

Subs: Chris Woods, Graham Potter, Ian Porterfield, Michael Duberry, Jason Roberts, Steve Archibald, Charlie Adam

Manager: Brendan Rogers, Asst Man: Billy Bonds, Chairman: Lady Sasima, Celebrity fan: Felix Bowness off Hi-de-hi, Mascots: Foinavon, West Tip, portion of Shergar

The test - give the XI to a non-Reading fan and ask which club did they all play for?

Fairly sure Lady Sasima never started a league game for us.

If Mark McGhee was manager he’d fit the criteria better than Rogers, as would Maurice Evans.
