Fox Talbot Inspired by the mention of those nodding helicopters - see moronic fan thread - here's a couple to get going with.

FIVE BEST MOMENTS

1, The nodding helicopters and the one hell of a noise they made
2. June Whitfield's rendition of 'Terry and June' from the centre circle v Stoke 2000
3. Kingsley getting booked by Mike Dean (or is that football?)
4.
5.

FIVE WORST MOMENTS

1. Lady Sasima and her song v Leeds 2018 (?)
2. Minute's silence for death of King of Thailand
3. (In retrospect) Stuart Hall doing the Madstad opening ceremony
4.
5.

STRICTLY NO RUGBY

Didn't Chili Peppers perform here? Sure that was awesome.

f*ck me it's Tom from myspace!

What have you been up to, champ?

Does Sonko kicking the ball out of the ground count? It was barely football.

I went to see Elton John at the Madejski. That was quite good.

It was appalling.
Worst ‘play it by numbers’ cabaret act.
Of course it’s the sort of schmaltz some people lap up but he could have sent a look a like to mime to a cd and no one have noticed the difference.
The only animated thing on stage was his wig.
He looked so disinterested he would have fitted in well with our late Stam era team...

Blimey Nameless it wasn't that bad. It was no Metallica at Wembley Stadium but it was a perfectly ok evening out.

Did he take you in the backstage area?

‘Perfectly ok evening out’ - I bet he would have loved such a lukewarm review.
That’s what it was, gig for people just wanting their annual ‘ok night out’. Ideal for people who enjoyed a Berni Inn meal before hand.

I also went to see EJ and thought it was pretty good, certainly remember enjoying myself, not sure where the h8 is coming from.

Went to RHCP as well and also thought that was pretty good.

It’s an opinion !
I’ve been to hundreds of gigs and never walked out of one before. This was the one where the choice between staying sat watching a tedious ‘ performance’ and going and doing anything else was an easy one.
I have no doubt others will have enjoyed it, these things aren’t black and white, but it was truely the worst show I have seen.
Made even more annoying because he has some decent tunes.

The first time the stretcher carrying golf buggy came on the pitch - it seemed to be on and off constantly until a change of policy, Maybe the embarrassment of being driven around the ground whilst trying not to fall off the stretcher was designed to stop opposition players time wasting?

When they stopped using it every game it actually appeared to break down before it got on the pitch (flat battery?) so they had to unload it and also push the thing back up the ramp

I doubt we'll see helicopters at the ground again, firstly because the Army are not based locally/we don't have the contacts and secondly because of the Leicester owner's chopper crashing just outside their ground.

Someone has mentioned it yes, PANTS DAY.

Best or worst I'm not sure, but definitely one of the top ten most iconic.

Nameless Beard days were brilliant.
I often wonder if any other clubs have anything quite so surreal.
Fun goings on at theR&T, crazy v bus journey to the ground
Entrance always nicely timed to be after kick, off and cause maximum ‘what the hell’ reaction
Beard Band
Foootball it’s self almost irrelevant, most participants had little if any interest in the game

Beard days .... but only really worked for me in the R&T while at EP.....

What game was the pitch invader doing barrel flips? That was class.

Bradford replay. What made it was the PA playing circus music. I believe that cost the club fine....

Take issue with the fan picnic. Thought it was a brilliant day, my kids absolutely loved it, despite the weather and they came away with some amazing memories.

im glad you disagree with me paul, the world would be a very boring place if we all thought the same

I understand people who may not have wanted to go, but I’d love to know a reason why it could be deemed a bad thing?
