Stranded Target for Tuesday has to be to get in the top half. If we win, with Bristol and QPR not playing until Weds we can jump ahead of both and be 12th for 24 hours at least.

Nameless THis Talk of not throwing players in at the deep end or them not ‘being ready’ is ridiculous. McIntyre is not 17. He’s 21. He is more than old enough, big enough, good enough. Since he made his debut he has looked at home. Just stick him in the team and let him play ! Rino and Olise pretty much took to it immediately and McIntyre has been around a while now.
Osho has the disadvantage that it looks like he’s been transitioned to play in a new position and that probably needs a bit more patience but then he isn’t going to push a fit Yiadom out anyway.
The likes of Holsgrove and Nevers will be the ones to bring in more gradually.
Southwood needs to take the number 2 spot ASAP.

What, do you expect to go from 20th to 5th or something?

I don't expect being 12th for 24 hours to be mentioned as it is completely irrelevant.

Do they get medals for it? The "Congratulations, you were 12th for 24 hours" medal? Ridiculous.

This 100%, well said "Nameless" McIntyre is a star in the making and at 21 is easily fit and strong enough to be playing week in week out. We have put ourselves into a poor financial position from having suposedly rich owners and buying so called superstars that hasn't worked out!!
Now we are in a bad place and all our assets are being sold to balance the books. However, we do have one saving grace that could well keep our heads above water, our "Academy".
We have seen over the last few years that some of these academy players are ready and chom ping at the bit to make the step up into the first team and have proved that they are more than capable.
You don't always have to go out and buy big name players, sometimes the answer is their right in front of us at the academy...we just have to show a bit of faith in these guys.

Whilst I agree you don’t always need to go out and spend big, there’s a balance to be recognised. It’s a bloody tough league and you need some quality in depth.
We started this season with the majority academy players being given a chance, it didn’t go too well and we shelled out on another 5 loans / signings just before deadline day when we realised the youngsters weren’t up to it.
We simply cannot follow that model next season, hopefully we can integrate a few academy players and do some shrewd business over the summer.

leon I just want to see a strong finish to the season from the core of the team that will start next season.
