Now push for top half finish and that's not been a bad season.

Believe that was our 13th clean sheet this season, not a bad return.

Yeah that surprised me as well. Defensively we’ve turned a corner. We do need to dominate midfield more though.

It’s been much better with Rino and Pele

Dunno if Pele was injured but the difference between the 2 halves very noticeable

We were relatively poor going forward but got an early goal and defended really well.

Good win! McIntyre had a brilliant game. Deserves to play our last 3 games. Osho bar a couple of mistakes was sublime.

We are safe

Yep. Under Gomes we shipped 17 in the first 11 games. In the 31 games under Bowen, just 32. Massive improvement and to see a defence with 2 Academy players on a run of 3 clean sheets is great to see.

Notts Royal Well Bowen nearly threw that away but fair play to the 30 defenders for keeping them at bay...and a serious lack of quality from the opposition.

Impressive first 30 min...what happened after that?!

We won.

They've scored 7 fewer than us

RoyalBlue bitching away at Dellor on the radio and bemoaning our win because Bowen is "boring".

Wondering if Moore is worth a few games in CM if we are going to lose Pele in the summer

Can’t see him getting back in at CB and I thought he was good today in midfield

Said the very same thing on the back from the game thread. His positioning was excellent when he came on.

Zip I really enjoyed that. A real backs to the wall win. Charlton unlucky and I really hope they stay up. Osho, Rinomhota, Morrison and McIntyre were excellent. Moore did well when he came on.

Yep same. But Charlton definitely weren’t unlucky

You say that, but Aneke offside call was very very tight and they could have had a penalty. Two different official calls and they win that 2-1

If he was paid £10k - £15k a week less, then yeah, but I don't think 1 backs to the wall performance for 20 odd minutes makes him a midfielder. We had none of the ball and he's looked extremely limited there previously.

So it's a no from me.

I think he’s only ever played there one other time (Bristol away) and was apparently good then as well

It’s on the basis of if we can’t sell him and Pele doesn’t return. In that scenario he is worth a shout at CDM as McIntyre deserves a run at centre back.

You could argue their defender should have been sent off on the pen, and Aneke could have gone for the elbow on Morrison and/or the scrape on McIntyre imo

If the League table was based on home performances alone we would be third from bottom. If based on away games only we would be sixth.

So being 13th is about right then but suggests if we can just be average at home then play-off a definite possibility.
