Since 1869. You'd know this if you just used Google.

You must be using a different Google to the rest of us;seeing as the Club wasn’t around then.

Hope you are right, but that will be very much against form.
Barnsley a quite tough to beat, play a lot on the counter, should
never have lost to Luton, beat Boro and Forest already this season
Very good chance of a 0-0 or a single goal either way

Sutekh Not particularly looking forward to this one, think Barnsley will do much better than expected and this seems to be generally borne out by results from their last few competitive games. Now I hear of their penchant for high tempo and high press it should be the first real test of the season for a team much more geared to a possessive game. Reading will need to move the ball about a lot quicker and not allow themselves to get caught in possession, could be a real come down after Derby if the team is not set up correctly.

JR I think today is massive - if this team is to be successful this year it need to be able to annihilate opponents like Barnsley at home.
A great opportunity to break the home hoodoo of last season and set the tone with a 3-0/4-0/5-1 type victory.
A poor performance and we may struggle to build momentum at home this season.
I’m with OMA on the likely result though.
