skipper I remember a young Jermain Defoe destroy us at the madstad. We've never had much luck against them, have we?

Still didn't beat us though.

Hound
URZZZZ If Meite, Ejaria and Moore don’t make it, would go with this

Rafael

Yiadom
Morrison
McIntyre
Gibson
Richards

Rinomhota
Laurent
Olise

Baldock
Joao

Southwood Esteves Bristow Tetek Semedo Aluko Puscas

Although wouldn’t be against Semedo starting tomorrow as this may be his sort of game

And Puscas or Baldock are fine, opted for Baldock because Puscas was on international duty, Puscas and Joao didn’t work too well last game and I’d like to see a bit of threat off the bench which I’m not sure Baldock provides enough of

yeah don't mind that side tbh. 9 on the bench though now innit?

Yep, solid

Yes, clubs in the Championship can name nine substitutes and are allowed to use five. However given the current injuries and paper thin squad it’s possibly going to be a struggle to find nine players that would have a realistic chance of actually playing.

As an aside, rather oddly clubs in L1 and L2 are only allowed to name seven substitutes though can still use five.

Presume the FA Cup will remain 3 subs from 7.

Was that the game Caskey came off the bench and planted a free-kick, top bins, with his first touch?

Yup. Then Fozzy equalised right at the end to make it 3-3, to stop in form Bournemouth from making the playoffs.

Was the infamous bowing helicopter game as well, IIRC?

Good times.

And thus Reading avoided having to play them in the play offs.

Didn't a young John O'Shea also play in that game?

Well here we are on a slightly breezy but not cold Saturday morning on the South Coast with a hint of rain in the air.

I have waited 6 years for this day and am disappointed not to be getting ready to pop down to Dean Court (can't get used to the "Vitality Stadium"-"Vitality" is the name of a gym across the road ) and see this team in the flesh for the first time this season so, like the rest of you, it is Ian-style support from the settee.

It obviously sounds like a lame excuse in advance to say that possibly 3 of our best players from a squad with no great depth will be missing but we on here know how key those players are.
It's time for the others to step up and stop the losing habit and this might just be the most difficult fixture of the season so a good place, if a lousy ground, to get back on track.

I'm trying my hardest to be positive but am finding it difficult but if Moore, Meite and Ejaria (especially Ejaria , the best in our squad at keeping hold of the ball) trot out before kick-off it will be one hell of a lift all round.

Vic. I have a feeling at least one of Meite, Ejaria or Moore will be in the squad today. Mind games from Paunovic.

No Puscas in the squad. that bench don`t look too special apart from Meite and Olise, can only assume Yids isn`t up to it yet.
