I oxf*rd hope Bournemouth win the play-offs, then maybe we can oxf*rd talk about parachute payments giving ex-Premier League teams an unfair advantage.

Last post tonight. WTF was VP thinking with dropping Richards and the subs that are always too little too late? He's got a lot to learn. Let's hope he does so.

FT. Never going to win. Glad to come away with a respectable GD and most importantly no injuries or suspensions.

Nice to see a bit of attacking intent in the first half.

God awful finishing.

I would LOVE if we played with even some of the intensity we should in a lot of the first half, don’t really expect it though.

CountryRoyal
JR Gibson is the worst loanee we’ve ever had at this club.

Can’t defend, can’t run, can’t pass or cross.

Has not shown any signs of promise in any of his appearances.

That just isn’t even remotely true is it.

He’s not even the worst loanee we’ve had from Everton.

Worst outfield loanee then. Although looks like Virginia may have a career, not sure Gibson will.

Rafael 6 No chance with the goals
Yiadom 8 MoTM Showed fire and won his battles
Holmes 7 Did little wrong. Defended well
Moore 6 Should have closed down Sarr but overall good second half
Gibson 3 Awful. Truly awful. He has cost us a number of goals in only a few starts. No more please
Rinomhota 6 Won tackles but outgunned at times
Laurent 5 Poor distribution and outgunned
Meite 4 Should have scored and offered very little
Olise 7 Some lovely skill at times but had few options open to him
Ejaria 4 Didn’t track back on a number of occasions and offered little
Puscas 6 Worked hard but should have scored

Joao 4 Did very little
Richards 5 OK
Aluko 6 Looked sharp
Baldock 5 Lively but as always nothing came if it.
Pauno 3 He really is struggling with his selections and subs.

We don’t look like a team on the up. The season isn’t done just yet but it doesn’t look far away. After such a great start to the season to not make the play offs isn’t good enough especially if a limited team like Barnsley make them.

Difference between the teams? A 40 mill quid striker.

Shame the season has petered out like this but it's been a great season compared to recent ones and I think we have an exciting summer and build up to next season ahead of us

CountryRoyal We just look like we lack a lot of quality.

For next season Reading will need a left back, a right back, at least one winger and a player who can cover Joao effectively. Would be useful if Swift could actually stay fit as well.

Are laurel and baldock contracted to come on every game for 5 minutes? Is it like a make wish prize or something?

Would be nice if everyone could stay fit.....especially the full backs.

Bonjani Khumalo?
Jordan Mutch?

Plenty worse than Gibson.

Been let down yet again by the poor home form which for a top 6/7 side you’d expect to be better.

On the plus side, another positive performance from Tom Holmes. An academy CB line up of Holmes & Tmac might not be that far off!

Some quality from Ejaria & Olise.

It was actually quite a good game to watch...good intensity throughout. Beaten by a better team. Pauno firmly to blame if Richards was fully fit, so I’d like to believe he wasn’t right now

Right so.

As it stands, if Bournemouth or Swansea lose both games this week we find ourselves with our fate in our hands.

If they win both and Barnsley beat Boro then we'll need to pick up 5 points on 6th in 5 games.

Result tonight not a surprise but we need a favour or two this week now.

Weird though, if you watch league two you see them routinely bury chances like the ones we had today
