Snowflake Royal
Lower West Listening to Pauno's review of the season that BBC Berks played at the end of the show. Seems as if he has been very protective of the players. Blames match fatigue and lack of experience in the squad for the tail off at the end of the season.

Fatigue is probably fair... so many injuries mean it's been hard to rest anyone. No real break between seasons and a hell of a match schedule.

Do question the lack of experience though. Moore, Morrison, Yiadom and Cabral are hardly inexperienced. Same for the bit part Baldock and Aluko, Swift's been in relegation and promotion fights

Experience as in being winners. Knowing what it takes.

If that means having been promoted, there aren't that many about.

No need

We’d be pratts to let him go on such a whim.

Took a very useless and unheard of Serbia U20 team to World Cup victory in 2015.

Did fine last season, will be up against it this season (as any £-less manager would be) at Reading.

Can we at least give him a chance this season before we start with the Pauno out stuff.

Surely we can't afford to get rid of Pauno and bring another decent manager in?

And if we're fcuked this season, then were more than likely fcuked whoever's in charge.

And we're not going to attract anyone decent for a managerial vacancy

Since the end of last season and seeing the circumstances In which any manager would have to cope with, I agree, at this stage, there is little point in changing the manager now. But that’s not because I have faith in Pauno, I still don’t think he’s the right man for the job. But considering our financial circumstances and the inability to change the squad sufficiently at this point in time there would be no benefit in changing things. However, the reason for the resurrection of the post is because I doubt our Chinese overlords will be quite as sympathetic. If we get off to a bad start I fully expect they will pull the trigger.

I generally don't agree with firing managers unless things are absolutely dire - but even so it would be prime 'dickhead fan' to call for Pauno to go, regardless of results. If we somehow end up in a relegation fight then that will be a consequence of a weak squad, not the manager.

Apart from the near relegation form from christmas onwards last season  he’s lucky the clubs oxf*rd as he will have an excuse this season. He absolutely failed in the second half of the season after the honeymoon period ended. Poor team choices, poor tactics, and poor substitutions. 9 points from our last 10 games with only 1 win against teams in and around the bottom of the table for the most part. He’s a fraud.

Chris wilder being linked with Swansea, who are equally financially oxf*rd and selling off their assets, hence the ugly pcunt cooper leaving them. He would have been a shrewd bit of business. Alas we are stuck with this goon.
